How about a weekend early in Sept 2013 where they can visit Croker and watch Kilkenny get another "3 in a row"? Just a thought
I think you are Nuts logging in under a different name??? Surely, there can't be a second Kilkenny fan??? My idea is to have a gathering in Dublin or Galway or anywhere else for that matter to watch an away match that is being televised. Is there any interest?
And watch amateurs burst their bo**ox for nothing other than personal pride and love of the jersey. I think if most of the lads on here ever watched a GAA match they might have zero tolerance for the pr**ks that wear our beloved hoops every weekend. Great idea though
I agree 100% Nuts. They would put our lot to shame, all the GAA teams would. So, how do we make my idea happen? Any ideas?
Sitting on a trolly in A&E at the moment. Will have a think about it. Plan has to be as simple ad pick a date, pick a pub, recommend a hotel and let everybody book their own
Have you bought a 10yr Croker annual pass yet, which guarantees one seat for one Sunday in Sept each year. Might as well at this stage, it will save you paying out individually every year!
What are you doing in A&E? Did she take a swing at you with a four iron for suggesting a short notice romantic weekend for 2 in Manchester this weekend?
Not sure yet. Either a torn abductor muscle, dodgy appendix or both. Initial tests have not found a brain or heart.
Are you sure it is not just the result of 128 pints of Guinness working its way through your liver since Friday evening!
when do sky announce next years tv games? the spurs one in jan is on I think but that's a little too close to Xmas.
The Spurs game has been moved to the Monday night so that is out. The TV games are announced upto the end of January, they haven't gone any further yet. There is not an opportunity that I can see. The ideal would be a saturday 12.45, 3pm or 5.30 kick off. Setanta Ireland are showing the game at Old Trafford live. Something similar is what we need. February or March might be the time. The away games at Fulham is 30th March or Villa 16th March could be chosen, The Villa match is Paddies weekend so not great for flights/hotels etc. Fulham could be the one provided it is not chosen by Sky for showing on Sunday or Monday.
Just checked, Easter is Sunday 31st March so that pretty rules out the Fulham match too. We are away at Everton and Reading in April. I was hoping to go to the Everton game. Reading away on 27th April might be shown live?? The only alternative I can see is the Swansea game on 9th February. There is a 6 nations match on in Dublin on 10th February (Ireland V England) so that would make the hotels expensive.
Despite the result it looks like a good time was had by all. Hope to join the next one. Oh, and get well soon Mr B.
That is a great write up Inky, except for one thing. I can’t agree with the part where you give me most of the credit because of any article I wrote a few months ago. That is plainly ridiculous. That whole piece was written because of my admiration for the efforts you Overseas Hoops go to in order to support QPR in the best way you can. All I did was pull a few of your stories together into one piece, you guys wrote the stories as you did again on Saturday. I hopefully can speak for all the “local” supporters when I say that you are all ****ing amazing. I said it then and I’ll repeat it now, all the overseas hoops in this World of R’s have my utmost respect.
