    Hi all,

Just wondering if any of you have made any bids for the Poppy shirts that the players wore away at City? They're currently on Ebay with just under a day left to bid.

I've suprisingly been in the lead for one since the day they went on auction - not mentioning the name just yet though, don't want one of you rich b*stards outbidding me <laugh>

If you want to have a look, here's the link:
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/tottenham...rs=1&_from=&_ipg=25&_trksid=p3984.m1431.l2654

There are two shirts for each player, all are signed and the funds go to the Royal British Legion.

Bale's are currently standing at £2,250 for one and £1,800 for the other!!!

Caulker's one might actually make a smart investment, future England captain <ok>

I'm a long way short of being able to afford one of these right now so unless eBay will accept half a pack of gum and and I owe you note I don't think I'll be getting one :(

I just bought a GANT shirt for 42 quid that'll do me.

    They're not even a decent material. <laugh>

    I'm amazed that Dempsey's has reached £430!

I thought my eyes were deceiving me with the decimal place!

must be all 18 USA Spurs fans bidding against one another!

..ok, That was all a bit harsh. I must stop my Dempsey banter. <laugh>

Does the snipping still happen on large-value auctions like these? I don't think I've ever bidded with more than 5 minutes to go.

I bought TVs for £500. I've bought computers for £500. But am I allowed to buy a shirt for £500? Not a ****ing chance! ***grumble. family priorities wrong. probably spend more than £500 on christmas. stupid flanders. grumble***

Seeing that grey shirt gives me the opportunity to have a rant. What the hell were we doing wearing that in a North London derby ???

The media gave a lot of publicity in the build up to the game of the great history of this derby, and then we go and ditch our white shirts for that hideous grey thng. Grrrrrr

A week or so ago THFC6061 posted up a kit/results comparison and we were unbeaten in that one so that might have been why.

Edit: Just remembered we lost last week wearing it too <doh>

We're probably trying to shift some more of them or something.

haha, I wasn't even going to mention that we lost in that kit last week before you edited your post! :p

I was going to refer to the fact that when the results/kits were shown, hadn't we only played in it once? <laugh> 100%... but from 1 game!!

I would genuinely like us to play in the all blue away kit at some point. IMO, it's the nicest away kit we've had for years!!

get rid of the grey kit's and our result's will improve IMO.for some reason grey does'nt seem to lend itself to good result's in football.

Haha it's brilliant. The one's where they're playing FIFA in their kit are just superb. And the fella dressed exactly like Cech - classic.

I do hope Bale isn't big headed, as he will be insufferable given the size of the bids for his shirt, compared to the others.

Yeah, the jump from Vertonghen's who's 3rd highest to Bale's "cheaper" one in 2nd is nearly a grand... Mental.
