Im sorry but this is getting to be a joke. Injurys, suspensions, small squad and take-over is what Warnock has used to defend the situation which is true to a point. Then how the heck can he let them be on extended loan if its that bad, yes they are gaining experience burt Poleon was actually starting games and would gives an attacking option which we are lacking. This does not do Warnock any favours, yes they can be recalled with 24 hrs notice but, they can also suffer a bad injury too and be out for a lengthy period of time also. Sorry for rant but, its annoying the heck out of me.
It was probably more that Uncle Ken told Warnock if he wants Hall on loan then Poleon and Thompson have to stay out to balance the books.
Stop blaming Bates for absolutely everything, ****ing getting so sick of all the excuses being made for Warnock all the time
Are you seriously suggesting that Poleon & Thompson are the answer to our problems? Surely not?? They can't get into the team because they're not ready. FFS, that's why they're out on loan. Thompson's already been sent off over in Bury, so still hasn't learned his lesson. Poleon has scored 2 in 8 matches at a much lower level & did nothing but run about a bit playing for us. Time for a reality check, chaps. So let's see, you scream for them to be recalled & played. Warnock does this & they are crap. Suppose that would be his fault too? Give him some credit.
They're on loan to more or less guarantee themselves game time, which they might not get at the moment if they were at Leeds. There's a 48hr recall. So if we get any more injuries or suspensions, they might well get recalled. All seems fine to me.
I dont want the pressure of whats going on at LUFC anywhere near Poleon or Thompsons necks at there age. It could break them pinning our hopes on a couple of kids learning there trade. Byram has stepped up as a matter of necessity but looks like hes been playing for years. I can see your point but at this stage I dont think its right to throw them into the mess we are in at the moment
Poleon was starting and playing and seemd to getting a good partnership with Diuff. As I said Warnock says small squad, injuries etc yet their at another club. I would rather see Poleon getting first team action with us than Bury at a higher level too? How about Diuff, Poleon, McCormac attacking and resting Becchio. It gives more options or am I missing something? As for Warnock cant say something like small squad and then lend players out, who were in first team not reserves remember.Yes send out players like Gimpel who are on boarder of possibly first team action, lets send Bryam out on loan then as well as he is still learning.
No, in fact I want them to stay there and get experience. My issue is that everyone defends warnock constantly regardless of the accusation by blaming Bates in whatever way they possibly can
Sorry but I don't buy this 'squad down to bare bones' crap from Warnock. At present we have 22 fit first-team players. We have chosen to loan out 4 more. 4 are out injured, although only one could be said to be a first-team regular. 2 are suspended due to their own stupidity. Warnock has decided to bring in dross like Norris and Gray. It was his call. Yes, a better chairman would have given him better resources, but a good manager does the best with what he has. Warnock has 22 players to fit into a team of 11. Surely it's not beyond him? Current first-team squad Paddy Kenny Lee Peltier Adam Drury Tom Lees Jason Pearce (suspended for next 2 games) Patrick Kisnorbo Paul Green Rodolph Austin (Inj) Luciano Becchio Luke Varney (Suspended for next 3 games) Jamie Ashdown Aidy White Danny Pugh Michael Brown Michael Tonge David Norris Andy Gray El Hadji Diouf Paul Connolly (Out on loan) Sam Byram Sanchez Payne Ryan Hall Paul Rachubka Chris Dawson Ross McCormack Leigh Bromby (Inj) Ramón Núñez (Inj) Davide Somma (Inj) Charlie Taylor
Looks like maybe I was right and Warnock needs the option of Poleon. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20412533
As indicated above, poleon's been recalled from his loan spell. So what's the point of Andy Gray if he's not even going to start ahead of a kid who was loaned out to help his development?
Exactly! So at least one loan has fallen though by the looks of it, so we have to make do with a kid who's really rough around the edges, to put it mildly. To me, this is hugely significant, and a terrifying development. WTF will happen next?
Calm your farm. It's indisputable that Warnock has been screwed over by Bates, as a result this is only half a side slapped together in the off-season. That said, it was fairly obvious right from the start of the season that as soon as we go to the cold months and wet pitches, a team with a lot of veterans would pick up lots of injuries. Warnock should have realised that. He also should have seen the writing on the wall and adjusted his plans to include creative players as well as the plodders from Portsmouth. So, Warnock has been dropped in it by Bates, but he hasn't made his own life any easier and has walked into a lot of the problems blindfold. And the defensive frailties are probably more disappointing than under Grayson because Warnock set out to address that side from the start.
Mostly because it's bates fault we're in this mess. I said it when we first got Warnock and no ****er on here listened to me, I said with bates in charge he'll do no better than Grayson and I've been proven right, again.
I also said Warnock would do no better than Grayson mainly because he is a **** manager, not because of Bates. I don't care about how successful he has been I have always thought he was naive Warnock has spent more money than Grayson, he has sought out to address defensive frailties and completely failed and destroyed our creative attack as well doing it. I really don't think anyone can defend Warnock and if they are they are just blind
Our creative attack was nothing more than a shadow of its former self after losing many of the players that made it work, including Johnson, Kilkenny (not as much, but still contributed), Howson and Gradel. McCormack was doing his best to cover, but he's not a Gradel. I don't think our attack last season was particularly great.
I think our attack last season was far better than it is this season. We lost Snoddy, we haven't even really attempted to replace him until Hall has come in and even then Hall has only started one game. Other than that, we had Clayton who I think we have replaced (probably not the same quality but replaced) and our attacking qualities are terrible. Its not really the players that I am having a go at anyway (although I'm not saying they are good) its the style of play we use that I hate, its not successful, its boring to watch, we have to actually not concede doing it which seems an impossibility at the moment and Warnock seems quite stubborn in the fact that hes not trying to address that problem, more he just blames everyone else. I don't know how much money we are going to spend in January but I see it as slightly pointless for us to give funds to Warnock for him to spend it and fail miserably anyway just for him to leave at the end of the season and us get in a new manager that wants to get his own players in anyway. Just fast forward the process and get a new manager in now (Di Matteo or Pep would do) for them to build something strong. Of course it won't happen though
I believe with the resources available, in the cases of Norris and Gray and any other dross players he's brought in, it's been a case of "it's them or nobody. Take your pick"
