I was there as normal so missed the commentary but heard it was a great listen from the dynamic duo. As for score updates what do people in this area expect ? But at half-time it was obvious that Palace - Leicester - Brighton were going to win. The only game that hung in the balance imo was the Cardiff Middlesboro game. Most around me had constant mobile phone updates or texts from people back home.

I have grow to like Burnsy's interviews and commentary, and one thing I have noticed, that he finds SB a much easier guy to talk to, than either NP or NB. This I think makes it easier for him to ask straight questions without the fear of having his head bit off.

I've always liked Burnsy. Its the twat I can't stand. I honestly don't think he knows alot of about football. The other week he said, Rosenior couldn't do a job at LWB for more then one or two games before being found out. This is the same player who played over 50 games as a left back in the Premier League.

it was great, i felt very happy going into half time but was disappointed when they scored, still i thought half time 2 goals up were in a good position and then 11 seconds and its a goal, 3.2. suddenly nerves took over i paced up and down wearing the carpet out, i thought oh no 3.0 up and were going to throw it away, i could not believe it but then alas the whistle went the beers come out the fridge, the dog got a treat my daughter extra pocket money and three hours later i was in the garden having a cigar. Up the Tigers

Agreed, they seem to both enjoy the interviews..

but it was good we got to 3-0 quickly before he brought ou the "they say 2-0 is the most dangerous score in football" worrier..

Swanny "someone's going to get onto one of Zigic's knockdowns.."

how do you mark someone who's that bloody tall anyway.. well played the defence.

It's not easy, but all you can do, and from what I hear we did, is just keep tight to him, and keep him under pressure.

Agreed it was good we were 3-0 up, but the goal just after half time was the bad one to give away, if we have not conceded then, I think we would have won more comfortably, and probably gone on to score another.

I'd take Marlon over Zigic, I'd take Chris Burke too. Marlon in Jan for 6 months, then fuk him off when we get to the premiership.

Zigic I think is on a stack of money per week.. Birmingham have tried to offload him since being relegated but have had no takers..

Certainly wouldn't take King - he's a disruptive influence and gald to see tha back of him first time round.

Another striker would be good but I'm still hoping the German can find his feet in the English game..

Midfield hopefully Meyler is the missing hard man that we lack..

It does my head in that people use historic records as a reason to predict results. Burnsy is a sensible guy but surely he doesn't think that our record over the last 42 years at St Andrews would make it any less likely that we'd win this weekend? He did the same thing with Bristol and Leeds, both of which we also won. Furthermore, why do Humberside insist on shoving the PL scores down your throat without warning all the time? Do they not care that people want to watch MOTD, their sister show, on an evening without already knowing the scores and full details of the games. This bothers me far more than hearing about Grimsby and Scunny. Someone even tweeted Burnsy about it a few weeks back and he just made a joke about it and a few minutes later they did it again without warning. If they must tell us, why not limit it to half time and give us bloody warning!

Burnsy is a great commentator though even if the station and show itself aren't so great. He's genuinely passionate about City even though he has no reason to be.

Burnsie spent some years at Radio Sheffield and TBH I rate him about the best local football commentator that we've had... compare him to Peter Ward and the awful awful Dave Gibbins - need I say more?

agreed but whoever does leeds on the commercial station over there with eddie gray is good. Dave Burns (BA Hons) and Mike White are better than we have had previous apart from Alex Burgess. Gwyllym Lloyd...oh please........we are paying through the nose for better in my opinion
