As always with LFWs it's the length of all the Harry Potters combined but he hits the nail on the head all the way through. Worrying times at our club again. http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/fb_news.php?storyid=18684
Grim reading. Interesting paragraph about sticking with Hughes to show the players that they will get shipped out and not the manager if they don't apply themselves. That would mean (probably) relegation and would demand instant promotion the next season. If that is the price to pay for long term success, so be it. Problem is can't see MH pulling it off now.
He makes a very good point about the support. Southampton chanting their Manager from the start, not many of us giving Hughes a whisper.
Vicious circle Oslo. We support and support and he gives very little. Very little of himself - perhaps not a people person - and very little success. How long can we sing support for him. I think we do have to examine ourselves a bit. The atmosphere from the QPR fans was just about acceptable at the start but as soon as the first pass was short or misplaced, there was a collective groan from the crowd and diminishing support thereafter. Usually we are better than that. We've all been at LR 2 or 3 goals down and the chanting goes up in volume and intensity. I may get blasted for this but I'm afraid SWP has some claim when he says the fans are partly to blame for creating a negative atmosphere. We should never have been made to feel so nervous. Vicious circle and I don't know how to break it.
The players have to do their bit for the fans to keep supporting. I think as fans we have been more than patient this season and given everyone a lot of time to change things.
Very good and at the same time disturbing article that. Must admit that I now blame some of the players as much as Hughes, as I learn more and more about the goings on "back stage".
Aside from the R Block corner very little chanting is done at all! Im right at the top of R so often walk away from the game thinking atmosphere wasnt terrible but then talk to my mate who's only a block away in S about it and he says it's deathly quiet. We as fans, even if we want Hughes out, need to do everything to back the team. Lord knows we need as much help as we can get.
The bad eggs are Hughes signings. He has got so much wrong. His reputation will be in tatters when he is eventually sacked.
I sit in S block, admittedly quite near to R block and I find that, generally speaking the atmosphere is very good. These are bad, bad times and people are simply not going to get up and sing when they are watching such abject ****e!
