I fear Suarez and Gerrard. Apart from that, I'm confident of another win against the Pool. Chico to start, and be in charge of man marking Suarez. Ki need to keep with Gerrard and don't allow him the space he craves to pull the strings. If we keep these two under wraps, I think we'll be in for a good game. Pablo and Dyer on the wings, we need pace. Michu in the hole with Shecter up front. 2-1 Swans.
Im not confident as Liverpool are improving in every game and have only lost 3 times and that was at the beginning of rodgers reign, so its going to be tough against a side that can pass the ball better than us recently...i would be very happy with a win but a draw is most likely and if Liverpool play to there best then suarez will destroy our back 4.....tremmel will be the keeper that will have to be on his toes....we have to try and keep the ball more than them to get any sort of result....
I wonder if Laudrup might fancy starting Dyer. The thought has occurred to me that Dyer might be a touch miffed at the exposure that Sterling has been getting. They are fairly similar players and last season Dyer was always starting, playing well and being touted for an England cap without getting a sniff. Rodgers goes to Liverpool, puts Sterling in the team and, before you know it, he plays for England whilst Dyer has dropped a little down the pecking order with us. I'd say there was some incentive there for him to put on a show. As for Ki tracking Gerrard, that worries me. Ki has been great for us but closing down is not his strongest asset. I would like to think that we will pressure Liverpool and that they will be looking to close Ki down rather than the other way round. Fascinating game in prospect and I'm really looking forward to it.
They've only won 3 too, and they were just against Reading, Norwich and Wigan with their only away win being against Norwich before they started getting things together. Not exactly top form
I would say there's more incentive for Routledge to put on a show against Rodgers. I see your point Ivor, but we saw Dyer's effort at making a show when he came on against Everton amid the talk about whether he should have been selected before Bains. 2 quick yellows
Fair comment, SA9. There might be some mileage in starting both Routs and Dyer both of whom should be on fire to prove their respective points. I doubt both will start though because Pablo is really starting to find some great form. But sooner or later the other two will get their chance then it's down to them.
Although we were all very happy with high possession stats last season, I think we can see that less possession and more goals, as a result of some more direct play and blitzkrieg counter-attacking, is equally if not more effective
Spelling mistake there Dai and that's a FACT!! P.S. If we play at our best we will win. Have some faith
i would debate that.....we must not look cocky as it tends to back fire and make you look silly.......I would rather us use the word optimistic as its too close to call and can go either way.....Im going for a draw but would love it if we win...
When you say we... are you speaking from a Swansea point of view or your more favoured Liverpool point of view?
Calm down Dai, what's wrong, Brenda not played with you today? As I asked, do you then not think that we have improved under Laudrup?
you need to grow up as well sonny jim.....ill ask you again ...are you for real or have you forgot to take your tablets...
