4StringR, welcome to the board. You are climbing aboard just as we are heading for the rockiest seas imaginable. Your post is as insightful an exposition of the dynamics of a board in crisis as I am likely to read, and could very well be accurate as well. Good one.
Thanks Northolt. For completeness I would add that I am based one more stop further west than your goodself.
You're right Col but I know which source is looking more accurate at the moment (shame i'd rather SR got this one!)
I am seriously starting to loose faith with TF. It was utterly clear when we lost to West Ham 1 October that Hughes had not only brought in and played the wrong players, but was seriously taken apart tactically in that game, after serious doubts had come up in most of the previous. The Clock has been ticking since then - 7 weeks, plenty of time to have found a new Manager and got rid of Hughes, the worst manager I can remember at our Club since Wilkins and Mullery.
Even if we kept all players after going down, they would not win automatic promotion with the current team spirit. I think Fernandes needs to throw the kitchen sink at staying up.
Enjoy, Ha!!! Stoke was very frustrating because we had the chances to have won that. Saturday we got so totally p*ssed on at home to about our closest rival for the bottom spot, that I can't see any good reason why Hughes didn't resign immediately after the game.
Seen word floating around the Twittersphere of cameras outside Loftus Road tonight... Not heard anything on SSN yet.
Im going for Weds or early Thursday as they dont train on Weds so its a natural break to get a new man in.
Pipe down everyone, just realised what the cunning fox did......he never said which Monday!!! This could run longer than Defoegate!!;-)
Jackie Oatley, a Rangers supporting reporting for the People I think, she said with firm authority that he's gone, but then she is a reporter for the people and could just as easily be looking for predictions through a crystal ball. I think it is a shame it hasn't worked for Hughes. I'd far rather it had worked for him than our current predicament as now we need a miracle worker to save us, but even if we do survive we have been put back a year as all the good work Hughes did do, such as the scouting system, back room staff and things like that, will all have to be restarted most likely. I don't blame Hughes entirely unlike some who seem to see him as the anti christ. The players have under performed, the discipline a joke. But I think our biggest problem is we just weren't ready to be promoted. We didn't have a youth set up, academy or a scouting system. The club was basically a joke and it now shows. Hopefully Mike Rigg will stay on as he will help us no end. But unfortunately it's back to square one, squeaky bums for another 6 months and a few more hours off our lives dealing with the stress. But hopefully whoever takes over, if the news is true, will get the team to play for each other and bring some pride back to the club, and give us all something to smile about.
Wait....wait....this article clearly states Redknapp to be announced today...not Hughes being sacked. Needs both Hughes to be sacked and Redknapp instated to be credible!
