Grant Holt was seen in a local church taking holy communion immediately after the game on Saturday.

i don't see them out and about but i know people at your club who have told me about their exploits and if they played for my club and i knew what they were getting up to, i would be fuming. as i say, all clubs have a mix of individuals and i happen to know some of your players are dedicated and pleasant people. you just have a lot of the others. i don't want to pick on him individually but let me just say that one of your younger players mentioned above is a genuine problem at your club because of what he gets up to away from the club. i think comparing these players to people having a pint and a nandos (which by the way our players are encouraged to do - fatty and spicy foods i mean after a game - sort of says it all. completely different planet, trust me! our players go out together as a group too - there is a team bond - yours are in gangs.

Thanks for that amazing insight Supers I look forward to reading your next article in the EADT with interest! McCarthy has only been here a few weeks and he will sort out the bad eggs of that I am certain. The problem we have is that we are stuck to what we have got until at least January so his hands are tied to a certain extent. I can't see Chopra playing another game in a Town shirt tbh and he will be shipped out at the earluiest opportunity. Henderson will be sent back as soon as Loach is fully fit that will do for starters.

<laugh> i'm better informed than dave and stuart <laugh>

you're absolutely right about mick though - if he can't sort some of those players out then nobody can. if you win on saturday, which i expect you probably will, then you'll have 9 from 15 under mccarthy - despite the hammering's, a very promising start <ok>

You may well consider the Ipswich players to be in "gangs" and that trouble is rife but I think you are blinkered if you think that Norwich players go to Nando's together and have some chicken and that is the end of it (My example was a simple point of how easy it is for things to be misconstrued - depending on who see's them and who hears of them) I'm pretty sure you've all but confirmed my point on this

I have seen on many occasions past players acting like knobs out in Norwich but not made much of it because they are footballers (for NCFC <laugh>) and society puts them on that pedestal, but even recently I've seen a couple of current city players acting like 'arrogant fools' around the city and that is a case of Football in general not just at Ipswich so I'm afraid I'm not buying your points on the doom and gloom

<laugh> what does that even mean?!?! are players not allowed to go out and eat? like i say, you can take it how you want but i know what i've been told is reliable and you should be concerned.

It all comes down to moderation for me. Do I want them to be at home with a nice cocoa at 9pm - no, do I think it is good that they go out and get so smashed they want to beat each other up - No.
Like going back a couple of weeks with Chopra. A bet is fine but getting so far into the brown stuff that you start getting heavies after you and racing fixing is a step too far.

Bloody hell Supers it's like talking to JWM, if you read my post the whole way through you'll realise that it is all down to perception, some people may see a bunch of footballers acting like normal people and take offence (as I'm sure you have with some of Ipswich's players or from what you have heard of them)

Whereas I was pointing out (in a round about fashion) is that I've seen misdemeanors from some of your players but don't go on about it as being 'bad eggs' because they enjoy a Saturday night drink in the local watering hole. Yes there is a case for moderation and when you are winning and playing well your own supporters are somewhat more receptive (hence my blinkered comment) that in truth what is happening with our players is probably happening with yours.... It's just with us having Chopper we have a supposed 'ring leader' as well a couple of players who genuinely have a checkered past (Does one incident make them serial offenders in the ilk of Bowyer etc?) but I'm sure if you start performing badly and fall down the league there will be some animosity from your fans if they see your players enjoying themselves after a particularly poor performance....

i knew what you meant but its difficult for me to get over my message because, naturally, some of you think i'm merely on the wind up. i'm not. i'm telling you what i've been told by someone inside your club over a period of time and they are a well respected person by you guys too. you have serious issues with members of your playing staff outside of the football club according to this person. you have some seriously damaging personalities playing for the club. some of these guys do become more arrogant - the money they earn and the adoration they receive goes to some peoples heads - there's not too much that can be done about that. when things go wrong, those fans can often turn against them and create a difficult situation so i agree with that, but honestly, there is no comparison between a group of players who compete week in week out on the pitch and then go and enjoy themselves and a group who consistently under perform and go out and get in trouble. big, big difference. if my teams players started under performing and were getting into trouble then all hell would break loose (as it has before)!

Top man is Jason <ok> My son goes to his football training camps in the school holidays. I applaud him for putting something back into the local community.

If that was the only problem, fine. From a footballing point of view he has been sh**e, a man with an attitude from day one. He is just another one of Fergies poor signings that has cost the chairman a fortune in fees

I've heard from a very credible source at the club that Chopra is being farmed out to Sheff Weds in the January window. Good bloody riddance, the only one that will be crying is the manager of Corals in Ipswich Town centre.

Sad thing is that he only has himself (Chopra) to blame. He's not a bad player but he does have some serious problems. He won't be remembered fondly by us because we really tried to help him but he's given nothing back.
