Suarez is the top scorer in the Premier League and consequently also one of the most depended upon players. Ba and RVP are joint second top scorers and consequently are also heavily relied upon.

The situation at Liverpool is the most popular to comment upon due to the well documented lack of strikers, especially with Borini injured. However, Newcastle are arguably in an equal or worse situation and Man Utd are not too far behind either.

Chelsea and Man City appear to be in strong positions. Chelsea in particular have by far the most number of regular goal scorers, though this analysis ignores the defensive side of the game where Chelsea have been rather weak recently.

 

I wasn't making excuses for him, just stating a fact. He gets injured very easily. He's a bit glass like.

 

Compare Rooney with Gerrard.

Gerrard has 1 goal in 29 shots. Twice as bad as Rooney. He has 2 assists to Rooneys 5. Rooneys played 2/3 of the games Gerrard has.

I know Gerrards been dire this season and Rooney probably plays higher up than him but hes the best comparison I could make on your team.

 

He's employed as a striker so stop making excuses for him, ffs Suarez drifts back into midfield and often has to start our attacking moves.

 

What about the german league and mainly lewandowski? He is a bit special.

How Liverpool have 12 scorers but only 17 goals and 10 of those from one player I dont know.

And United have Kagawa, Rooney and Evra and Rafael on 2 goals aswell.

 

He may well be emplyed as a striker but hes playing as a midfielder.

Sol Campbell started as a striker but you would go questioning his goalscoring would you? Thats because while he started as one he was converted. Thats whats happening with Rooney.

For comparison when Rooney played as a striker he scored 27 goals in 32 games and got 9 assists.
