I cant believe how well we have started and where we are now. Come Jan and the need for reinforcements who would you go for. In an Ideal world I would think we need to get a 20+ striker as I have my doubts that any of our current ones have it in them. I would love to see Cody Mac back as with the right service he could do a demolition job on the league this year. Also if we had the cash in the kitty to make some of MA's brilliant loan signings permanent.

If recent reports are to be believed then yes we could be showing interest in another striker, however, the name mentioned was way off the mark from Cody. Personally I am currently happy as we are and have no particular wish list for January other than to maintain what we are currently doing.

brb - I think if Josh Moreman is brought here, he would be in the development squad.

I do believe MA will look to bring in a 'quality' striker as he is constantly talking about improving. But personally I don't see the need. As stated many times, we score goals through lots of channels and by lots of players. If either Burton or Keds had played every game (for 90mins) this season and were told to stay in the box, they'd be well in to double figures (plus pens) and finish with 20+. But we just don't play that way.

The only strengthening I'd like to see (especially if we lose Jack Payne) is to keep Vincelot and bring back David Wright. I have a funny feeling this will happen.

Vincelot, Wright, Flanagan all signed in January! The front line is perfectly fine!

The squad has just gone through an extraordinary run of injuries but the depth is such that nobody really noticed. Unless there is a sudden worsening of fitness levels the emphasis should be "if it ain't broke don't fix it". Vincelot and Wright really have too similar a game to want both of them and we are awash with choice in midfield and central defenders. If there are vulnerabilities to losing a player it would be up front or at full back where fewer options exist. In either case we should be looking to the requirements for League 1 in 2013/14.

Sensible comments here, I think we are more likely sign Vincelot than Wright, though I have been impressed by both, I would hope that we can keep the Charlies Lee and Allen fit through the second half of the season, I would like to see us sign a player who can cover for Whelpdale who I think is the creative spark of the side and a player I think we would miss significantly if he were to be missing for a few matches. Up front I am not sure; I would like to see Birchall given a couple of starts, and then if we can sign a striker who is a significant step up in the January window without breaking the bank (IE a proven league 1 striker, though no names are really springing to mind!) this woud be good The other alternatives could be Frank Nouble not getting a game for Wolves who might be an interesting loan signing for the run in or an experienced striker like Jermaine Easter from Crystal Palace who again doesn't seem to getting much game time.

I agree with Bristol (shock horror :p ) I think we should looking to build for L1 not just short term, so I would like to see more permanent moves not just short term loans. Lets not forget with have half a season to take on youngsters with potential and mold / improve them to league standard rather then them only a having a preseason to work with them (of course I am ssume that the current squad is good enough to achieve promotion without any significant additions)

I would be happy with Vincelot and maybe another striker who can get a good amount of goals other than that I am happy.
