That soldier that was killed in the week was a Rangers fan.

I think they do this for all fans who die tragically. <ok>

Ta, AP.

Nev, it was a simple question about Newco on their board. Is there any need to make an issue out of it?

Can't recall the time I had a dig at Celtic for wearing black armbands

I've seen you take the moral high ground before. Your sig that is below every comment uses children who were sexually abused to have a digat Celtic. You are by far the biggest hypocrite on here.

What a ****ty comment <doh>

I remember plenty of "****ty comments" on several issues.

Anyways perhaps I should've been clearer. The guys death was tragic. If Rangers want to show their respects that's absolutely fine. However, there are plenty of other tragic deaths and murders of civvies every year in scotland and statistically speaking some must be Rangers fans. You have a peculiar culture of army worship at Rangers that I find frankly weird.

His family, brother I think, contacted the club to request it.

I believe that if it had happend on a different date (near future), no armbands would have been worn

To be fair, you did say you found it "frankly weird".

Well I said I find the "army worship" frankly weird. Does the team regularly wear black armbands when a fan dies? If anybody requested, would the team wear a black armband?
