It's not cheating really.. the game gives you the option to do it, its just taking advantage of it. Or play as Southampton where you get bags of transfer monies 33.5m for season 2 aww yeah. Finished 11th in the 1st.
I tried this for a separate save in fm 2012, it quickly plummeted though as my super Lallana and Schneiderlin were subject to 30-40 mil offers and cortese accepted
Got to the play-off semi final, drew the first leg away 0-0 to Dover, then the second leg was 1-1. Dover scored in the 92nd minute to win 2-1. Gutted. I was majorly impacted by injuries though, my star striker was out for several months and his first game back was the 2nd leg. Unfortunately he was completely not match fit at all. Had he been so, I would have had a much better chance I feel. Reece Connolly was also injured for the 2nd leg, although he's apparently not as prolific in the game as in real life. On the brightside, lots of contracts expire soon so I can rebuild a team and get rid of all of overpaid players, thank goodness. Just out of interest, when you play friendlies in foreign countries, do you have to pay travel costs or are they ignored?
Couldnt sell Lee after one season, no one interested and when they were he wouldnt reduce his pay and im not paying 5.2k pw for him to piss off! Second season transfers were a bit odd for me. I signed Ospina on a free to replace Boruc, who was a bit crazy sometimes and mistake prone with his 20 Eccentricity.. and some spannish GK to be sub for 120k, thank you Les! Got Kurt Zouma, he was the only 'superstar' player willing to join me after finishing 11th, but he did cost the majority of the budget at 22m, he is damn good though! Also got Vlad Weiss on a free, quality player providing good quality for my attacking slots. Also bought in a few newgens, a DMC from croatia with 4.5star PA, an english striker from Middlesborough with 5stat PA, only 2.5m. Decided against buying a first team MC/DMC as Cork and Morgan were playing exceptionally, with interest from all over the place. Couldn't find anyone willing to play understudy to Clyne who has any real class or potential, so may look a Sime Vrsjko(sp) as a money making exercise and wait for a good English newgen.
I have to say, rebuilding an entire team (I literally only have about 4 or 5 players from last season, excluding youth players, and not a single member of staff) is quite enjoyable really, in a challenging way but it makes it my team rather than the starting side. Not sure if the players are good but stats-wise, they seem to be better and have a lower salary than previous players. Though weirdly I'm having trouble signing right sided midfielders and defenders. Something about the right apparently....

My save can't be loaded. WHAT THE???????????? . Really angry. ****s sake. ****ing FM, ****ing lost my quality Saints. Oh no it's ok, I can load a version of the same save but lost only a couple of games. Phew! Panicked for a moment there!
Selling Emmanuel-Thomas to Wolves for £3m, and managed to get Le Fondre in on loan already. He'd scored 4 in 13 in the Prem. Happy with that so far. Need to bolster the defence though.
Some things im not liking is players craaaazy ratings.. Ramsey has 18 creativity?! does he ever pass the ball forwards? Giroud is soooo over rated, 17+ in finishing, heading, off the ball and composure in my game. QPR are unstoppable in my second season, undefeated after 15, finished first season 3rd... Adam Le Fondre was 1st seasons top scorer with 34 goals in the prem... Chelsea, Tottenham and Everton all struggling massively and finished 7th, 11th and 16th respectively.

Rodriguez got a straight red in the league for me for elbowing a player in the face contesting for the ball from a goal kick. Got handed a further 2 match ban for that. But he was still available in Europe and got a straight red for the same thing! Waiting to see if he gets a further ban or not as I'm not appealing an elbow in the face. I drew in the league game with a late equaliser. Was playing the worst team in the group in Europe and he was sent off at 2-0 up.
First batch of kids in my Saints game. I've got a 5* PA centre back, a 4.5* PA Italian goalie, 4.5* PA winger with two spaces between his forename and surname and a 4* PA defensive midfielder. Splendid.
