Apparently emanated from a Weeds fan (who by the way wasn't there - but just heard some kind of noise on the TV) turned out if was Leeds fans shouting Diiiooouufff and twitted that he heard monkey chants aim at diouf. I dont know whats worse Mail-on Line for using it as gospel or YWBK for making it up. Pisses me off we are such an easy target for press - even when it false the damage has been done.
Sadly - it doesn't change. You could hear the cry to a big boot by Danny S yesterday as a racial chant....if you are a poor desperate journo looking for a story. Or as one from the Sun did a few years back, when the Brighton fans pointed straight armed down at the pitch and cried 'Seagulls' which he heard as Sieg Heil and a salute to the 3rd Reich. If its now possible to sue people for comments on twitter then surely we cans do the same to the mail, had they said alleged racial abuse they would still have got their sensationalist headline and not have been talking bollocks. I think purely for being lazy we should sue them
