Just tweeted he's returning from the US to KL. "Long flight to think of many things"..... But he ain't in London.....
I think his words were "a lot to think about" when he was about to give Warnock the dreaded Spanish Elbow. Seems very similar.
Maybe TF is just spreading himself too thin. CEO of an airline, an F1 team and a significant part in the operation of a PL football team (PL for now anyway). I am sure he has other business interests too. Might be better to do fewer things well and delegate QPR to a more experienced football director ? No disrespect to the man, we all appreciate what he has tried to do for us, but securing his investment and keeping the fans satisfied is achieved with the same thing, a few decent performances and results.
Shouldn't have been in the US in the first place. Caterham are s***. Waste of money, there to make up the numbers. Wait a sec....are we any better?
Phil Beard runs the club, Hughes reports to him not Tony. The board take the major decisions. TF just appears to be more involved than other chairmen because of his extraordinary openness and engagement with the fans. It only takes a few seconds to tweet. He has already stepped down as team principal of Caterham. But QPR is certainly not the most important bit of his empire - he bought us as a branding vehicle for his money making enterprises.
Tony Fernandes ‏@tonyfernandes On my way home from amercia. Long long flught to think of many things. Just stopped of at osaka. Now back home to kuala lumpur Amit : I echo @tonyfernandes sentiment from last night. Is an awfully tough time and yesterday's result is very hard to swallow. Sorry fans. #qpr.
Does he need to be in London to carry out the sacking??? If it was me, I would pick up the dog and bone and say, get your arse out the door lad. I would expect him to be in London to talk face to face with a potential replacement.
Its not just him, the 4 shareholders have to work something out. Im sure they are still cooling down and will discuss ASAP.
