Tremmel comes in and does well. New first keeper? I doubt it but it's going to be interesting to see. Plenty of healthy competition in every line looks good.

Im not a Tremmel fan at all but i have to give him credit, he has done what has been asked of him, what Vorm gives us is a top draw shot stopper and lightning reactions, Tremmel hasnt had alot to do the last couple of games but what he has done he has done well, if he is the guy in the shirt and keeps doing well then why not keep him in? Vorm needs competition and i do feel he has not been on top of his game this year and has maybe become a bit complacent .

It can only be good if these players keep pushing the others.

I see Laudrup was saying in his interview that he thinks the swans will improve alot in the second half of the season, he still thinks we are trying to intergrate the new players and when they know each other better then we will reap the rewards.

A manager is only as good if the team gets results full stop.....last season everyone was saying the same things about Brendan.<laugh> How can anyone say that Brendan would not have done better than sir Mike <laugh> How do you know??? for all we know he may have done better, we don't know that..<ok>...Sir mike is doing great and that's all that matters but to compare him to past managers don't wash with me and sir mike will be another manager who has added something to the squad and when he eventually leaves he will get the same rubbish that all our past managers have had and the next manager will be the best thing since sliced bread..<laugh> some of you guys are so funny im splitting my sides with your comments..<laugh>

I think your not far off the mark there Dai.

The love in and adoration has now begun.

Mr Laudrup derserves massive credit fot the way the Swans have performed, but lets not lose sight of the opportunity and vehicle that that the Swans have given him to display his credentials in the Premier League.

Please do not let us follow down the path of the personality cult Manager, that we have been down before, because we all know where that ends.

ML is doing well we are doing well, we are grateful for his football knowledge and intelligence, but club and Manager go hand in hand. We do not succeed at this level because of one particular individual.

Swansea City was here before recent Managers and will be here after them.

Ok lets get one thing clear here, this is a feel good thread basically singing the praises of our manager FOR ONCE!!. How about from time to time we sing the praises of players and staff instead of looking only at the negative aspects ??

Talk about deflating posts on a sunday afternoon! just enjoy the good times for once guys, there is plenty of doom and gloom around and there will be plenty of questions when we hit another slump.

Cult of personality managers ? says more about some of your own dissapointments and hurt than it does others.

Im getting fed up of saying this now..

EVERYONE WISHED BRENDEN RODGERS WELL WHEN HE LEFT!! NOBODY WAS UPSET WITH HIM FOR GOING TO LIVERPOOL !!

"the love in has begun" aw bless.. shall we maintain a professional buisness like relationship with all club employee's then ? do we tell ourselves not to get excited and to remember that nothing lasts forever? shall we remember that we are a small club punching above its weight and one day it will all end,so dont get too excited ??

Im sick of miserable ****ing Jacks who refuse to enjoy the moment and enjoy the most exciting period in the clubs History, it really gets on my wick!!

so what the adulation has started, who cares ?? thats what football is all about , the king is dead ,long live the king .. the people with these issues are mostly the ones that are hurt themselves, they bought into roberto/toshack and never let go of the pain so have since refused to acknowledge or support positive actions ever since, the day may well indeed come when the dream is over and all you miserable ****ers can happily tell me how right you were to not get carried away with "adulation" and "love in's"
but you know what? who really gives a toss about stuff like that?
football is all about highs and lows its all about passion and caring about what happens, as old as i am i aint never let that part of me go, there is no point in supporting football if you detatch from the emotional side of it.

Typical Swansea trait, always be negative when its easy to be positive...graveyard of ambition for a reason, people here dont really like a bit of moderate success unless they can pin it down to nothing inparticular <ok>

One nice positive thread isnt enough for some people ..<laugh>

There is plenty of objective content here to keep waldorf and statler happy ffs!!

I understood perfect. you like to look at the negative aspects instead of the positive aspects. as the very first line said, "time for a smug thread" seems that went over your heads.

Sometimes you have to stop and smell the roses... you should try it sometime guys <ok>

Norway, I agree with you entirely in that we should enjoy our success.

It has never been a better time to be a Swans supporter and as Season Ticket holder of 8 years I truly appreciate that. ML was an inspired signing much as RM and BR were. We can indeed bask in the glory of recent years and some of our recent memories will stay with me forever. We are making history and enjoyment every week, to young and old.

My point was we should remain a sense of perspective and dignity about people who take charge of this proud club. That was all.

Why I should be then treated to an insulting message about my age and called a miserable ****er defeats me? Do you even know how old I am? I offered an opinion that was all.

Please believe me when I say after the health and well being of my Family, the greatest thrill I get is when I go down to watch the Swans.

I can only apoligise if I caused you offence. Perhaps in future it is better to read these boards rather than contribute.

I'm lovin' every single minute of being a Jack these days. It's more than I ever dreamed for our club. We are in the top 10 of the Premier League and our manager is Michael effing Laudrup ! We are able to spend more on players than I thought possible for us. We've just beaten Newcastle away and our next match is home to Liverpool - a team who we sit above in the most competitive league in the world. Such is the confidence I have in our team that I feel no fear of any team we play.
Being a Jack is awesome at present - just enjoy it guys. Live the moment.

<applause> bravo sir, could not have put it any better myself. I'm a sucker for loving all things Swansea and almost always let myself get carried away. It's what being a footy fan is all about!

Well if you felt it was directed at you personally then i apologise Jackcwm, it was a more general rant and your comments are of course valid and indeed accurate.

I didnt want this to be a thread where we compare the past with the present i just wanted a positive thread after a positive result where it would be nice to sum up some good points about the latest manager.

Of course i should have known better that it would remain in that vein, and it didnt take long for it to be Laudrup v Rodgers once again.

It was just my opinion that brenden would have struggled to keep us up this season as the players Laudrup brought in have been the ones making the biggest difference and Brendne could never have signed that level of player in groups of 4 or 5

Jackcwn i must apologise if i caused you any offence,i was perhaps a little out of line but the sentiment in my article was my main motivation for perhaps being too harsh, i just wanted it to be free of the usual bollocks, sorry mate <cheers>

Agree with NJ. Let's get carried away, **** it. What's the worst that can happen? We may get relegated, but that's football. I will still support the Swans, as I'm sure you all will.

Let's not forget, we are a small club from Wales up against the big boys, and I ****in loves it. Win, lose or draw I'm having the time of my life walking around with my Swans shirt with PREMIER LEAGUE badges on it. I feel like we are the best team in the world, because guess what, we are in my eyes.

My City, My team, My SWANSEA CITY.

Norway, I completely understand your unrefined joy at our win and perhaps dumbed down a thread that was posted to be an uplifting, feel good post. Apologies.

ML is clearly a talented Manager [and a humble man after meeting him briefly for 5mins] so lets enjoys the happy marriage of Danish legend and a Welsh institution!

Enjoy the success by all means like i am but without disrespecting past managers because without these last 5 managers we would not be where we are to enjoy today's success...remember sir mike has achieved nothing yet compared to the promotions we have had with past managers.....you see fans putting a manager high up on a pedistal and then knock him off when he loses or leaves.......As it stands now sir mike is no better than martinez or rodgers because he has achieved sod all yet....nobody in the last 5-6 years deserves some of the rubbish they get as they have allbeen successful when the manager and i hope sir mike can carry on where the past managers have left us and make us better....we wont know that until the seasons over....

Exactly chico, now as you know i very often take the objective view after a game as its very good for debate but i feel every now and again we need to stop and think these things.

    1. We are a Premier league football club, known all over the world.
    2. We are ****ing loaded and are very healthy financially.
    3. We have a fantastic chairman and board who are fans of the club first, not buisness men.
    4. We have Michael fookin' Laudrup as our manager...if Calsberg did mangers eh ??
    5. We are watching probably the greatest number of talented swans players to ever put on the Jersey.

To be honest the list can on for alot longer !! i dont usually post arse kissing stuff but every now and again we need to appreiciate what we have done as a club, im still in shock every saturday when i watch the games TBH!! i cant beleive where we are now, its totally surreal for me i have to say!!

Working with a few Geordies about 4yrs ago out in Norway and i was banging on about how Martinez was the messier and how we were going to set the world alight with our style of football etc, i remember them saying" but your swansea mate, your in the 3rd division, about as small time as they come about from a cup run,,if your lucky" it wasnt meant nasty, it was just us all having a crack together, they were all good lads, but on saturday we went to their backyard and give them bit of a footballing lesson, its really ****ing unbelivable how far we have come and some times i really need to pinch myself ..<laugh>

Anyway, i guess we just need to stop and think and enjoy these moments, we never know how many of these good times we will get, the same goes for life as well guys <ok>

We've reached our first ever quarter final. Also hopefully ML won't get the luxury of aiming for a promotion with ourselves.
