Looks like he's played the last 3 games with a slight knock but still a major part of the team, some of his balls into the box are undefenderble and must av defenders worrying about the next one coming in. All in all great player for us and im sure we'll go all out to sign him from you.
Who the **** have Sunderland got in the team to keep Elmohamady out of the Sunderland starting 11? He's quality!
We use him as a right wingback, hes very effective there for us, Meyler has come on in the second half of out last to games, i personally haven't seen him yet so can't really comment yet.
Meylers big and powerfull, been very unlucky with 2 cruciate knee injuries in quick succession, before these injuries he was looking a real talent
I have a feeling Meyler will start on Saturday in the middle with Stephen Quinn. Corry Evans has had acouple of really good games lately but was dropped for Oli yesterday who didn't make an impact from what ive heard.
Oli was ****e! Apart from the 5 minute spell leading up to his inevitable substitution. On 2 or 3 occasions he wasn't even watching any part of the game consequently not paying attention and giving the ball away. I'm sure we were playing with 10 men for most of the game. I'd be fuming if I was Corry Evans and lost my place in the team to him next week. I can only assume he must be incredible in training??
Did seam a strange decision to drop Evans but i supose with Zigic been 6'7 Oli is a better option to mark him from set pieces. Bruce knows exactly what hes doing.
Steve Bruce said that Oli was picked simply for his height and that Evans told him he was gutted. I think Evans will be in at the start.
I think this is going to be hard for Bruce. Evans is bang on form and while it was a tactical decision to drop him for Oilyvagina at St. Andrews there will be no such rationale against Burnleh or Palarse. Problem is, Bruce REALLY fancies Meyler, even though he's not match fit and looks very rusty. How can he justify dropping a player bang in form in preference for a fancied one who isn't?
Left Corry Evans out for Oli due to height and so called physical presence that Brucey thought he might add agst a big Birmingham outfit - clearly by the sounds of it he didn't. As for Elmo he's been a big asset for us in our style of play - whips a great ball in. Clearly hope MON lets him stay with us at least for the season if he's not prepared to let him go on a permanent. Wonder why MON thinks he's not up to the PL when he always likes wide men in his teams?
Was just wondering The M'on effect, are you creating many chances in your games, i know your really struggling to score and most of us City fans can't understand how Elmo can't get in your Squad. I know were talking about two different leagues but his crosses are deadly most of the time and surely you must be lacking this sort of service.
Totally agree Stov tiger, must be hard for Evans, bit like when Simpson got dropped for Matty Fryatt. Don't get me wrong Fryatt is a better all round Striker but it really affected Simpson mentally i think. Id start Evans against Burnley personally.
The problem is that Meyler will only show what he can really do after a few games. As I said, yesterday he looked really rusty, but you can see he is a proper unit in midfield. Who'd be a manager? As for Oilyvagina, he really stood out yesterday, for all the wrong reasons. He is good at spraying the ball out to the wings from the centre circle, but for a big guy he's a real puff-house. Another problem is he is physically slow. Mullins and Morrison were all over him like a nasty rash yesterday and he just kept losing the ball.
