I'd add a striker (I have been impressed by Davies at Barnsley or Davies at Bristol) Midfielder - extend Meylor or look at an alternative midfield option Goalkeeper - Looks like we are in the market for a keeper, have to say I'm not surprised - the King goal conceded by you know who looked a very soft goal to let in
A striker, but my knowledge of other footballers is pretty poor, so I can't suggest a name. This is why I'm so **** at Football Manager etc, I'm no ****ing scout. Also depends on the quantity of moolah that our owners are prepared to hand out.
No names either, I don't have SB's experience or contacts, but if he gets January right like he has everything else so far then we will go up automatically in the top 2, bring it on.
Some more wingback cover and a striker. Also I would suggest he's looking far wider than the championship for players to bring in. It will be interesting how much the Allams put forward if we're in a similar/slightly better table position come January.
Absolutely, how much SB is given will be paramount to promotion. A striker would be great, if they don't want too much for him I'd bite the bullet and bring and in Fraizer Campbell. He'd fit in with the pacy options we already have and if we can shift McLean, that's four quality strikers we would have. Craig Davies is also having a good season, but I'm not convinced he will be able to cut it at PL level. Anthony Stokes on loan would also bolster the ranks; after a great season last year, he hasn't had much of a look in (injury?)/ I think we could do with a bit of cover at CB, just a squad loan to boost the numbers, perhaps from a PL side. At the minute we have Bruce, Faye, Chester and Macca. Alex Bruce seems to pick up a knock in every single game we play; can we just give him the surgery we will inevitably discover he will need and get it over with? I do feel for the lad because he's having a great season and seems really focused under his father's leadership.
I suggested a name last season and i still think he would be a great addition CHRIS WOOD a striker on loan to Millwall
Hobbs should be back in the first team fold in a couple of weeks and hopefully Bruce is watching Cooper at Chesterfield and may change his mind about him.
with hobbs and cairney coming back soon, i think we look strong except for that clinical striker off the bench. i know they arent ten a penny, but if we can produce one, like when reading grabbed le fondre, or southampton added sharp then we will have a great chance. i know i pick on him a lot and he has his fans but mclean missed a great chance to kill the game yesterday , as injuries kick in etc in the 2nd half of the season we just need that other option up front. prozzy could be the answer, but he seems to be taken the blame for the boro defeat, hasnt had another kick since has he?
I hope Bruce is looking at a striker just in case Aluko does get called up for Nigeria. Bring in a central/ defensive midfielder.
I think if a striker is to be brought in, it has to be someone proven, not a youngster or someone who has never played in England before. If we're there or there abouts come Jan, we need someone who will add something straight away.
Well the MLS season will end real soon. How about Robbie Keane on loan for a few months? He is old and I wouldn't suggest him as a starter but he has 20 goals in 32 games (**** opposition of course). Would be a lot better impact striker than Mclean.
Uh never mind. Aston Villa want him on loan. http://www.examiner.com/article/robbie-keane-to-return-to-aston-villa-on-loan-for-a-second-time
Frazier Campbell will be in the black and amber in January - with SB agreeing a perm fee should we want him at the end of the loan.... That's positive thinking but it might just happen.....
Myhill - more likely Turner - Playing well with Bassong at Norwich now, doubt that would happen unless we pay a lot of £££'s Campbell - More hope than probability, depends whether he would actually want to return to us Nevertheless, these 3 would be great additions, solid keeper (2 great saves against Chelski on weekend), Turner to always win a header and be a threat from set pieces and Campbell to add to the already pacey and clever forwards would be brilliant.
