after watchint it a few times I now think he actually did mean to knock her down, he could have stopped before the boards or just by pushing against them, seen tonnes of players do that, but he deliberately changed direction and shoulder barged her down, it makes sense, cardiff were 3-0 down and getting zero joy.

I could be wrong of course, but it seems a little suspect !

the Craig Bellamy method of hitting girls clearly rubbing off on the team.

it's definitely deliberate. funny enough, if he'd done that to a male linesman, i think there would be a yellow card in it for him. because it's Sian I think they're making less of a fuss because they don't want to be seen giving her special treatment.

Some dumb comments on here, lol

She knows what she is getting herself into.. im pretty sure she knows the sport has some physicality and there is a small chance somebody may run into her..

secondly those saying its deliberate are not watching the actual football being played.. the ball is still in play and its obvious he has knocked the ball around the player and is chasing after it... any good football fan would want their players to chase every cause, the change in direction was to get possession of the ball .. it was just unfortunate she was in the way.. if anything its her mistake.. as an official you need to be 100% aware and mobile and im pretty sure next time she wont make that mistake again.

only an idiot would think a footballers sole intention was to run into and knock over an offical. come on guys get a grip

It doesn't look like that at all though. He doesn't look to change direction to chase the ball? Instead he speeds up and barged straight into her

Deliberate or not, and female or not, an apology wouldn't exactly have been difficult would it? Blah blah mans game blah blah kitchen blah blah bullshit. She got up and laughed it off, fair play to her, I'd have been calling him an ignorant prick for sprinting off as quick as his legs would carry him.

This. Watching it the first time it does look intentional, and he should have apologised. But you can see that he is trying to chase after the ball to keep it in play.

Massey should probably have moved out of the way.
