FULHAM v Sunderland: Injury forces Richardson to miss out on facing former side Kieran Richardson will miss Fulham's Barclays Premier League clash with his former club Sunderland on Sunday because of a hamstring injury. The 28-year-old will be out for a further 10 days with the injury he picked up in last weekend's 3-3 draw at Arsenal and will be joined on the sidelines by several other midfielders. No return: Kieran Richardson (left) was injured in the 3-3 draw at Arsenal Simon Davies (hip) and Chris Baird (suspension) will definitely miss out, while Mahamadou Diarra (knee) and Mickael Tavares (hamstring) are big doubts. Provisional squad: Schwarzer, Stockdale, Riether, Kelly, Hangeland, Hughes, Senderos, Riise, Sidwell, Dejagah, Karagounis, Kasami, Duff, Ruiz, Kacaniklic, Rodallega, Petric, Berbato Well thats one small mercy as often ex players come back to haunt you
What sort of reception would he have got from you lads? I assume he must have a slight cult hero status amongst you given that free kick against us (one of the best free kicks I've ever seen to be fair)!
When I read the headline I still instinctively thought he was still playing for us... If we'd known how crap McClean was going to be this season we probably should've kept him, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
I had time for the lad & I'd have given him a cheer today. He was frustrating to watch at times but always applauded the fans.
