No one from the club has actively backed Hughes after the match today, which is pretty unusual.
The thing that makes it interesting, is that if both Redknapp and Hughes were available when we appointed sparky last season, i'm sure Fernandes would have bitten your hand off to have Redknapp.
Harry would definitely have dismissed all suggestions of him taking the reigns if he didn't want the job.

FT. It is still possible that we will finish above you.

Vincent: I'm not going to spoil job for harry.

Not completely convinced about Harry either, doesn't seem to fit into that long term plan but then again, we're on to plan b now because MH f**ked things right up. Plan A has to be out the window now.

Would feel more comfortable though if we gave Harry the job:
    1. Until the end of the season OR
    2. For longer provided he's prepared to manage us in the championship AND
    3. On the basis that he has limited funds and won't be able to overhaul the squad.

I wonder if the fact we've got three games in eight days starting next saturday might speed up any potential decision. We really can't afford to waste those 9 points.
Coupled with the mathematical significance of us being almost exactly a third of the way through the season, and this really feels like it might be a crossroads.
The talk from inside the club was of "three more-winnable games" after we'd lost to arsenal. At that stage we could still point to the majority of our opponents having been in the top half of the table as a reason for poor results.
Well we took a point from those three games.
In fact, we took as many points during our first 4 games of the season, as we did from the following eight. That's a scary thought considering how diabolical the Swansea and Norwich performances were. Something's got to give.

The upside is that the job will appeal as QPR are in such deep ****e your chairman will splash big amounts in the January window ... and Harry can buy well to get out of trouble. His buying at spurs was only a problem when we needed to push on.
On the down side ... you are in a truely awful position and January is 7 or so games away and your current squad look a mess so maybe it would be a big risk for him.

Very surprised how badly Hughes has done with you...he's done ok previously but has been cack for you lot. Good luck in fighting your way out of trouble.

If we have to go to the Championship, then I'm more comfortable with 2 and 3

Arry is still gutted from being passed over on the England job and desperately wants to be back in the game to show everyone what they missed. I think whoever he manages next will benefit massively from this.

Tbh at this stage I reckon my kids could manage the rangers better than that cock hughes

    I think this.

His ego... must be up for a fight. The most motivating Harry possible.

When I stuck Radio 5 live on yesterday after the football, they spoke to Harry and he put a lot of effort into making sure he didnt comment on taking reins at QPR.

I'd personally love him in.....maybe not a long term solution but we need him in ASAP, as we need to be here next year and the riches that follow!

Can anyone seriously argue that Southampton would have enjoyed all those lovely wide open spaces if we had played 4-2-3-1?

I think both Benitez and arry will use that so we will finally get our formation right. I just hope arry (if it is him) wont judge Taarabt on his time at Spurs, hes a different player now.

If he comes in he won't have the luxury of dropping tarbs

He's a rangers legend - yes I think he is - and currently one of our best performing players

    Careful what you wish for.......
HR only seems successful if he has total control and can spend as he wants.
Look how he did with Saints and Pompey,
Saints had little money and the board controlled what HR spent, he took us down.
Pompey had little money and was allowed to spend as he saw fit, got the some cups, then left as soon as the figures started to add up.
I'm only guessing but why did he leave Spurs?..... maybe he lost control of the clubs purse and thought the England job was nailed on.
As much as i dislike him I think the England job would have been perfect for him, not much chance of over spending.

As a Saints fan, Id hate to see him overspend at another club.
