4 points from 12 games is the lowest total at this stage of the season since the Premier League reduced to 20 clubs. The previous lowest of 5 points saw both Sheff Wed and Sunderland relegated. It'll be 4 from 13 next week...
Ohhhhh it's depressing stuff. Think that's it for us now to much ground to make up unless a new man comes in and makes a dramatic change or we do a Wigan
Meanwhile, on the positive side, at least we only have to play those tough footballing sides like Reading, West Ham and Southampton once more...... Unless they're following us down too
Well Mark Hughes still thinks we will finish in the top 10 and as a group they have to analyse what went wrong on Monday. As a manager like Swansea, and the other 8 clubs weve managed to lose to he didnt see that coming and collectively as a group they have to get better. Another 2 defeats coming up at man U and Sunderland but im sure as a group the team will stand together and be excellent in training and there will be perfect preparation.
It does look as if we will not bounce back at all from this, hopefully with a change of manager, you would like to think we could. However looking back the last time we went a bad run like this was when we were relegated from the Championship to League 1. Then I believe it was 14 games without a win..after which we won/drew a few and then went on another 10 game run of no wins.. and we had more points on the board than at this stage of the season. Not looking good at all...I really feel for all R's fans especially those that go every week to the games home or away. I can only ever manage a couple of games a season, and each weekend so far I've been deflated, upset, angry, frustrated. My weekends are ruined !!! So god knows how the guys/girls who go each week feel... I really hope we can turn it around but it is gonna take a massive effort of a run of games without defeat and maximum points...But with these players (low on confidence/can't be bothered whatever) I can't see that happening.
You're right about the attitude of some of the players, yesterday was just about as humiliating a performance as you are likely to see, a lot of the players should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves, we were second best in every department. The problem if a new manager comes in is he's stuck with the same bunch till January before he can make any significant changes, by then we'll be long-gone...
I watched the game twice on tv last night (sucker for punishment I know !!), I honestly thought Bosingwa is a complete waste of space...not interested at all...A work colleague of mine is a Chelsea fan goes home and away, she said to me that she couldn't beleive we signed him as a lot of Chelsea fans thought the same as we do of him For me Taarbs, Nelson, Mackie and Derry (for the few mins he was on) showed some grit and fight... Thought Ferdinand was unlucky with the OG, but as the commentator said for the 3rd goal Southampton did the same thing 5 mins before and QPR didn't pick up on the short corner. Whoever comes in has his job cut out...If I remember correctly when Harry came in at Tottenham he stopped the leaky defence within a couple of games..oh well here's to another Sh**ty depressing week
The biggest problem is we know there are several players who just aren't good enough at this level and no immediate replacements...
I reckon the right man can get this mob firing. There are those with a poor attitude and they can **** off, but there are plenty who have it in themselves to pull this round. Bosingwa can do one, cisse likewise, unless he shows a response. Zamora, not sure what category he's in to be honest. I have faith in Nelson, traore, Ferdinand to some extent, hill, faulin, grenaro, diakite, taraabt, mackie, Derry, if needs be. Yet to see 100% from hoilett, jury's out. If I'm wrong, fair enough and if nothing changes in the next month or so under new management, let's get the kids playing.
Just listening on talksport where they have said QPR are the only team in the top 6 leagues in Europe not to have won a game so far this season....that's how bad it is !! They are saying it's the players who are letting the club down, without mentioning names they said there are 3 or 4 players who have history at being a bit disruptive, and not team players, not motivated to fight for the battle to stay up... just what I wanted to hear !
Im watching Sunderland play Fulham, they are both leagues ahead of us in every way. Right now, with Hughes at the helm, I dont think we could beat a Championship side. Some players should be told their performances for us are frankly career killers for themselves. I really hate to be so very (and very consistently) negtive, but I can't see us surviving. Never thought we'd be relegated by November !
Soopa you mean Derby had more points at this stage even though they only managed 11 points or so all season.......bloody hell......
I think alot of this feelings (a correct feeling) that the players dont care is only because of the current manager. HR is a real motivator and he will get us playing and get these players interested again. We have a quality squad of players who just need the right tactics and coaching.
