gfc1234 - that is not how you spell wrong

to be a little fairer to wrong - the performance against Plymouth was flat - but there will always be games where the team do not get it right - however all the clubs in L2 have played 16 or 17 games. Gills have got it right more often than the other 23 sides - to the tune of a 5 point lead. We 'just' need to maintain our overall standard.
I am glad for wrong's health that he does not support Aldershot - he would definitely need to take stronger happy pills than he does at the moment.

I do not read Ron's comments, however, her indoors as I have stated in the past, seems to find amusement value in his comments, hence I then am aware of his latest offerings.

Actually I wished the person would come and write on here because it appears everyone despite their misgivings about him wants to respond or at the very least are attracted to his comments. KentOnline must love it. I also believe it even attracted the alleged attention of our Chairman. Demonstrating why Ron would continue.

It is also interesting to note that since my time on social media or message boards, I have seen at least three instances and can name those three instances that appear or are alleged to have attracted so called interest from someone claiming to be our Chairman (direct response) or Club (via media reporting), again proving negativity attracts attention and responses. People enjoy that interaction, maybe it can be done sometime in more positive events of writing on social media.

Message boards become most active without a doubt when there are poor games and negative comments or as you realised alwaysright with your thread pre season when rumours are rife. However, when we do well as we currently are and sitting top of the league, have a look around the boards it is a sad reflection that they are more or less quiet and a sad reflection of humour nature. Hence why the media exists and reports what it does, there is no money in happiness unless its a Royal wedding or a lost dog story.

Even if you attempt to post a comment in regards to any form of deemed negativity everyone wants to give you a beating. Example, team selection was different yesterday then against Cheltenham. We should be taking 3 points at Plymouth. Not completely my opinion but if you say it you are classed as a doom monger or whatever the term is. I disagree is is called forming an opinion that is open to challenge without the insults. I think it would be become a very sad world once we all belong to the happy clappy environment. Talking generally not just in regards to Gillingham Football Club. Yes Ron is a troll. He will also remain a troll for as long as people are entertained by him.

Of course the alternative is people could always ignore him and post long essays to why we are top of the league and so good! That is what I would love to see. I guess coming back to human nature though that will not happen.

Ha Ha......it actually gave me a laugh and put a smile on my face.

The thought that such drivel would spark an 'intelligent' debate or thread is beyond me. However, today is 'Remembrance Day' and my thoughts go to those that gave all to protect our values of freedom and freedom of speech. Without that sacrifice, the 'Rons' of this world would not exist to provide, for me anyway, considerable amusement.

    Lest we forget............

I just wish everyone would stop responding to the posts he puts up.
He is not a Gills person, he is not the moaning bloke in the RE that some reckon.
My best guess is he's a KoL employee paid to get the traffic on their site higher.

Just ignore him and read the 'real' comments from other posters.

As for the right of freedom to express your views. The 'views' he puts up are not his views. They are all statements purely made to attract attention. He is the very definition of a troll. He purely writes to get a reaction. I'm not sure freedom of speech is designed to allow someone to write purely to upset/annoy people and no other reason.

If the team plays well he writes about poor attendances.
If the attendances go up, they should be higher if we lowered prices.
If we play badly, well, enough said.
He has even covered us playing well by stating we should not be happy until this team is top of div1. Beating other div2 teams is not worthy of praise apparently.
I suppose then we shouldn't be happy till we are beating Man U.

So please, everyone, feel free to read his posts, but just have a laugh AND DO NOT RESPOND.
He (and his ilk of internet trolls) feeds off it.

Just skim past his post, have a laugh if you like and move on.

Or maybe, don't bother reading the articles anymore. I have started giving them a miss. Nothing in any of them that you can't read on here or other forums.

Difficult to follow that Windyrog. Still marvel at Prince Philip turning out year after year. He looked more emotional than usual this year.

But, back on topic, yes it is drivel, and not only are we 5 points clear at the top, we are 9 points and 12 goals clear of 4th place. Of course we want to finish top, and after the start we've had it might even be disappointing not to, but we only need to finish 3rd to get promotion.

    Hi

Just noticed this thread as it popped up on the forum index. I got quite worried when I started reading the thread. Then I realised it was some prat who doesn't post on this site (unless it's under a different name). Anyway, rest assured it is not me.

Cheers and good luck for the rest of the season.

    The real Ron.

Most of his comments are either very comical or really rather frustrating but chances are he is a Kent Online employee or just a very bitter Dover fan. However if you see his comments after we win a game he always follows the Martin Allen will leave soon approach. If we lose we get a whole essay on why the club is corrupt or the ticket prices are too high or for a while that the colour scheme of the kits are a farce and a result of this clubs downfall.

Then again brb might agree with that last comment ;)

I think it is time for Ron to move on in the same way that character did on twitter when his identity was exposed. Ron has made yet another error in claiming Rotherham is our 'World Cup Final' and that this is the one supporters put in their diary. So I will add that I cannot even remember that supposed diary date that we are playing Rotherham, that is how important it is to me as a supporter!

Sadly for Ron his biggest mistake is making it clearly evident he did not go to the game against Morecambe and probably has not been to any game. He is doing nothing more than picking up on simple phrases i.e. 'Steve Evans' - 'Crawley' - 'World Cup Final' - 'Rotherham' and then teaching his mind to combine the words like a child.

Obviously Ron will tell us all he told us so, when that phrase 'World Cup Final' raises again in the same vocal breath as 'Steve Evans'.
