With the possibility that Westwood, Bardsley, Catts, and Fletcher may be missing today and the fact Gardener is out suspended, the team selection will be a difficult one today. Here is my choice assuming none of them make it.

    Mignolet

    O'Shea, Bramble, Cuellar, Rose

    Larsson, Colback, Vaughan, Johnson,

    Sessegnon

    Saha

Subs: Pickford, Killgallon, Campbell, Ji, Wickham, McFadden, McClean

Not sess behind the striker. Doesn't seem to be working. Would rather wickham instead of Saha. Understand the whole pressure argument but think showing some trust in him will give him confidence which strikers can thrive on.

Would still rather bring in one of the young lads for cuellar. True I don't get to many matches to see him for 90 mins but from what I've seen of him on highlights don't rate h tbh

Couldn't disagree more about Cuellar pal. I think he is a very good player and rarely puts a foot wrong imo. Solid as they come.

Also, I'm all for Wickham starting a home game but think we have to go with Sessegnon today. He was actually a far better player last week at Everton and was at the heart of a lot of our attacking intent.

O'Shea at RB is a disaster mate been tried doesn't work leave him in the middle. Would play Sess but have Whickham on the bench in case he puts in another crap one. Wouldn't start playing today as they'll be knackered by kick off mind you we might score ;)

Can understand waiting for a home game to start him. Suppose I'd also like to start him with a two up front formation to give him some support as well.

In regards to cuellar, as I said haven't seen him as much as a lot of you so will take guidance from yourself and others on that one

Have an awful feeling that we will move heaven and earth NOT to lose this game, as opposed to go out and try to win it. We need to break this cycle of losing at the moment, so I predict we will set a very defensive side, pack the midfield and leave a very lone striker to feed on scraps. Awful to watch, but needs must.

Bramble is a no no. Gotta be Bardsley or Gardiner at RB and O'Shea instead of Titus at CB.
Id also tell Sess to play much higher up the pitch.

I think we need more firepower up front than your line-up, Cest. I'd play three right at the back and have Wickham up front with Saha, personally.

Sadly Bards is struggling with injury and Gardener (I spelled it the way it is written to help you) is suspended. That's why I have had to jiggle the defence about.

Good try though for a mag who never watches us or keeps up to date with injuries and suspensions at the SOL?:emoticon-0109-kiss:

Its not going to happen mate. We better accept that and make the best out of 1 out and out striker only.

I agree but if both Bardsley (inj) and Gardener (sus) are out who do you suggest for RB then? Bramble? Killgallon? Mmmmm! Not for me.

Why weaken CB area by moving JOS to RB and having two weak areas at the back instead of one? Put Killgallon in there for me Bardsley managed the swap so maybe a left sided RB will do okay as well.

O Shea at centre back is a must. He is the only one in our ranks who has half a chance of keeping berbatov quiet

Yes Berba is doing very nicely. Your full back decisions will be very imortant too, though - he is fed by Kaca and Duff/Dejagah from the wings - all speedy and tricky; Riise and Reither the full backs are playing more like extra wingers too.

Ruiz feeds and attacks from deeper midfield. All the midfielders are keen to get in the box to support him.

Schwarzer tends to stay in nets though :)
