As far as qualifying goes, great lap from Vettel but I think after his domination in practice we all expected him to take pole. Brilliant lap from Hamilton however. For everyone to be so far off of Vettel for him to then close that to a tenth in Q3 is quite fantastic. A little bit disappointed in Alonso, he has it all to do now (not that he didn't before)
What happened to the robotic efficiency of McLaren? They couldn't organize a piss-up in a brewery this year.
No idea, thats just my (and I think others) impression of the situation at McLaren. Perez is clearly talented, but I would have to agree with a few of you guys when you say that the pressure is getting to him. As far as Button goes, also a quick driver on his day, he just seems to always have an excuse (although this time he can't do anything about yet another problem on the car)
But actually wtf, McLaren is usually quite reliable in comparison to other teams (at least in recent years) so its weird to see so many problems
If Ferrari get Michael a grid drop, I have lost all respect for them. Why are Sky giving the impression that this is Mexico.
I used to think this, but Raikkonen had a couple of seasons like Hamilton's had when he was there. I think the cold, emotionless way Ron Dennis ran McLaren just gave the impression they reliable and efficient and meticulous, they've always been pretty erratic though.
Quite true really. When you consider they have only won 3 WDC's in the last 20 years, they really are no longer the powerhouse that they like to believe they are. RBR will match that in a fraction of that time.
What a great day. Vettel about to clinch the title, Arsenal beating spurs, ManUre losing. Come on Sebastian, make my weekend complete tomorrow.
Nope, through 1996-1999 the car was a tip, and had to be out-driven. From 2000 onwards, he earned any of the benefits he got. Simple as that. I doubt Hamilton will complain if his career pans out like that, and I doubt he will be made into the villain that Michael in-sensitively is.
What are your sources? Wikipedia and hatred filled conspiracy theories? I stated the cold hard facts. He worked hard for the car he was driving, rather than hopping into the top teams every few years. Come on, I have the list ready, Benetton traction control/tyres/backroom help/special treatment... blah blah. Sooner or later, or very soon infact the same people will say the same things about Vettel. Get over it.
I watched all the seasons you mentioned and nothing you have stated is a fact, either a cold or a hard one. If Karma has come back to bite him, Mercedes is what he deserves for 1994 & 1997.
