I'll wait for a mag to reply as they've probably seen a bit more of him than you have. Cheers for the opinion but I want to know why he's not scoring, not what he offers aside from scoring. The £7m clauses expired did it not?
I tracked Cisse for 3 years mate, he is a million miles from ****e. More that he looks a bit disinterested, possibly by being moved into a less natural position by them reverting to 4-4-2
Question answered, nice one mate. Ba's a more complete, valuable player so I'd be keeping him happy over Cisse if I had to choose.
QWOP. No-one actually picked up that he isn't a particularly good footballer last season as he was scoring like a demon. Only this season, when he isn't scoring , has it stood out he offers nothing more. Bent is exactly the same. When he is scoring he is dynamite but if he doesn't score he offers very little in the way of team play. Like I say, Ba offers everything imo, both as a target-man, striker and more often than not a decent defender on set pieces as well. Ba is class IMO and could play for Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City or any of the other top 10 or 12 clubs in Europe, in their leagues and especially the Champions League. Do you think Ba could be off in a months time if a release clause is met and big wages offered?
Cisse will still bang in 15 goals+ in the Prem this season i reckon. He's been an abject player in an abject side so far, surely we can only get better >.< The concern is that the reason we over-achieved last season (and yes most fans are fully aware we did) wasn't 'luck' it was team spirit. We edged most of the tight games we played (like Bolton at home). The difference this season isn't that the players have suddenly got worse, there are some out of form but most concerning is that the team spirit seems gone. Which is a huge concern. As for fans leaving etc, it seems to be the same with alot of modern football fans. Losing is one thing, passionless displays are hard to bare though.
I'm sorry Mons but I don't see a good footballer in Cisse? Poor first touch, no awareness of others and easily dispossessed when in possession. When he was scoring like he was last season, these things were pushed aside but at the moment, with no goals to his name in the EPL, he is simply a spare part at a wedding for me? He has been found out after 5 months in a very physical and fast league and his value is dropping by the week. Ba's, without this £7m buyout clause, would be valued at £30m right now with his record. Ba is the real deal imo.
Totally agree. I even admitted when asked by a skunk who from their team I would have and BA was the only one. He was just what we were looking for and Bruce wouldn't take a chance. The skunks did.
First touch is the forst thing to go with a players confidence, second is awareness as others as you try to hard & make wrong choices. Cisse is an excellent player, he did 3 stunning seasons in the Bundesliga, a league at least as physical as ours. I'd have the lad in a blink (although, as said, I'd prefer Ba every time)
I'd snap your hands off but I wonder whether he would come? He seems a decent lad and maybe switching to their local rivals wouldn't sit well with him? Still, i'd put a bid in just to upset the ****ers. Lol
He'd do it for the right wage mate, ransomed Hoffenheim, got a stunning deal of West Ham (inc release clause), and did it again with Toon. Savvy lad (or agent) AYe, I'd say Spurs will be looking, 100%
Realistically, Cisse is a sensational striker who is suffering from a lapse of confidence. People who only started watching him in January are in no position to judge. I saw him throughout his Bundesliga years and you don't fluke 3 and a half exceptional seasons, to write them all off because of 10 bad games is daft. Realistically, both NUFC and SAFC will be playing ****e football for the foreseeable future. NUFC will finish higher due to Ba and Ben Arfa. Realistically, no one would ever have expected such vocal boos less than a year into MON's tenure, but it happened.
Ba is good but no club better than us will take him. He is not good enough for the likes of Man Utd, City, Chelsea etc. I doubt he will leave. The only club he would leave us for is PSG as it is his boyhood club and he has admitted he would love to play for them. However one of their strikers whipped England big style the other day and Ba is nowhere near Ibra's level.
You don't see a Spurs side desperate for power & striking options being interested at £7million? Behave man!
