Shaw looked very good today! Showed intelligence at times to keep Pablo Hernandez et al off of the ball. Looked better than Fox - lets hope he can keep that up. Well played Luke, solid debut.
Noticed this. Lallana didn't help him out either, it was certainly a better performance than I expected from him.
So much better than Fox, doesn't spend the whole game holding Yoshida's hand when the opposition right winger has the ball, doesn't drift into the centre of the pitch chasing the ball for no reason, and he actually has some spacial awareness. All ready looks like he could go for BIG money.
He looks the business, but let's remember that he hasn't played against United, City, Arsenal etc. If Fox was starting now he'd probably be doing much better as well. Just shows it's the right time to bring Shaw in though.
As I said on another thread, Shaw tired and replaced by Fox who put in an adequate performance, I am not going to knock him, our Players would probably play better if we showed them support instead of taking the cowards way and booing and slagging them off.
Brilliant brilliant game, cant believe he was subbed, and looks like he has a good left footed cross too! Took a lot of free kicks down the left side, which you would not normally see the youngest player on a pitch do. Very composed performance, very impressed how he has taken this opportunity! Let the performances continue!
After all the intentions of Liebherr, Cortese, Adkins, etc... do you still not get the idea..? Today I saw Bale, Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain chatting amiably after the Arsenal-Spurs match. They had that Saints thing in common and it is something that is incredibly bittersweet to see, because they could be chatting amiably in red and white pinstriped shirts if it hadn't been for the fact that two had to be sold to balance the books and one was sold because Saints weren't going into the PL at the time. Put simply, the idea is that you never sell your best players otherwise the best you can be is an alsoran. Saints don't want to be alsorans anymore. They want to be one of the clubs that players want to come to, not leave. I can't believe a Saints supporter would be writing such a thing after the well-known statements of ambition made by this club.
