Well Le Tiss was the only one to predict a Saints win. One other predicted a draw but I can't remember who.

Very good game, felt that was a very similar performance to the Swansea game, dominated the game, strong attacking play for the most part, one defensive error lets us down. Only difference this time was we put some chances away!

Thought all of the wide players were excellent, Lallana and Puncheon incisive and dangerous, always moving with and without the ball and caused their defence nightmares. Puncheon took his goal beautifully but should have had a hattrick with the chances he had, and then got a bit carried away and started shooting every time he had the ball at his feet, but a great performance none the less. Clyne and Shaw were fantastic, solid defensively and supported the wingers very well going forward, Clyne in particular was wreaking havoc with Puncheon, and he also made 9 tackles in the game, Shaw looked like he'd been playing Premiership football for 10 years... No higher praise for a 17 year old. Cork and Schneiderlin ran the engine room well, felt they did over commit a touch at times which got me worried, there were several occasions where Taarabt, Hoilett or Cisse were breaking at the defence with Cork or Morgan 10 yards ahead of the ball, but that was really the only danger to be fair. Gaston had a similar game to Swansea, you can see his ability and talent, but didn't quite have his head screwed on, didn't pick out the final pass or shot and sometimes tried to do too much, but still had a good game despite that, I just expect so much from the bloke! Lambert was very much in creator mode which was working beautifully with the midfielders rotating behind him and getting into dangerous positions, grabbed himself a goal which will always do a player the world of good, but still feel he doesn't take the shooting opportunities that he would have done at lower levels. But that can be a good and a bad thing. CBs were very solid all game, hardly put a foot wrong for me, one of them should have really been beating little ol' Junior Hoilett to the ball for his goal, but overall thought they had a good day. Gazza... The only dark spot on the team. Didn't look comfortable at any stage in the game really, saves were a bit scrappy, positioning was off, terrible command of his area. Think Nigel will either have to have a lot of faith in him, or have very little faith in Boruc (Or the forgotten man, Super Kelv, for that matter), for him to maintain his place in the team. But who knows.

Fantastic win, could have been a little less nervy at times but what else do you expect from a team in our situation, if you're nitpicking you'd say it should have been 4 or 5 nil to us really, we were that good and QPR were just a mess unfortunately for them, but 3-1 away from home will do me nicely thank you very much!

Played well like we have done for over half our games this season, the difference being no defensive cock-ups bar Gazzinigga on 49th minute. The Saints fans who went deserved that (sounded magnificent) as do the rest of us!

Lawro and Merse seem to think we'l get about 10 points this season, i pretty much despise Merse at the moment so boring and negative towards us

I would disagree that he was awful, but he was certainly shaky on occasion but provided two decent saves in the first half.

Only 6 were won though, but still an impressive number. Have to say looking at these stats now Lallana's tackling stats really stand out — 6 attempted and 5 won! He was outstanding today in both directions.

In other news, Cork won 5 out of 6 aerial duels, good to have a bit of aerial presence in midfield for a change.

The most annoying thing about Lawro is his hair, he looks like a 1980's German pornstar, i dread to think what its like with his Movember effort

Matt le God predicted us to win 3 - 1. Phil Thomson said 1 - 1, the other pundits said a QPR win.

Yeah, it's on the wrong way round, with some sort of root source of the hair all sprouting from an area on his forehead.

The third Chuckle Brother, as I've heard him referred to.

Such an important win...19 th but one point from safety. The manner of the win was also important. A scrambled one nil would be worth 3 points as well, but the teams confidence must be high. Onwards and upwards.

And now we have four of the next five at home...and all four of those games are against teams that are as-yet winless away. Newcastle/Norwich/Sunderland/Reading are a combined 0 wins, 13 draws and 9 losses, with a -19 goal difference; there are points in it if we can carry over some confidence from today.
