Howard Webb constantly takes up poor positions in play and on set pieces. Blocks runs passes and options for passes by constantly getting into areas play is passing through cos he is watching the ball.

I get the impression he has no clue where to position himself and going by the vast amount of poor decisions this must be somewhat true

I'm confused as to how the Adebayor sending off has benefited United.

I am but we all know Webb is on United's payroll so I'm trying to work out why he sent Adebayor off.

But Webb's job is to help United. That's well documented on this very board. What do you think his orders were for today's game?

Actually I've worked it out. Webb isn't pro-United, he's anti-Liverpool. If he gives decisions for United its purely to piss Liverpool off. Today he's trying to help Arsenal out so they have a better chance of nicking the 4th spot from Liverpool. Mystery solved.

It will all depend on what Fergie has ordered, maybe Fergie has a bet on with betfred and requires an unlikely 5-1 win to Arsenal

Or maybe Fergie is just helping out his new bum chum, Wenger, who has decided since the big make up not sending sides out to even try against United. Maybe thats the deal you let us tank you and I will make sure the Spuds are robbed against you.
Tbf it was a def Red no idea what ade was thinking

Or maybe, just maybe, SAF was right about referees in England having poor fitness. The only real excuse for poor positioning in any decent ref is lack of fitness or laziness - read a good study recently about how referees in the PL tend to have a higher average heart rate during games than those in the lower leagues, indicating they haven't improved their fitness as they've moved up the pecking order. Also have personal experience - when I was reffing at uni and county level the only times I was caught out of position was cos I hadn't bothered to move in time.

One of the best refs I saw was at county level - he was also a distance runner and so was pretty much always moving throughout the game, and always in the best position to see what was happening. Few times he actually ran off the pitch to keep an eye on players fighting for the ball near the touchline or corner flag. Just watching him ref improved my positioning immensely.

But for those of you of a conspiracy bent, go nuts with this loon:

I don't think there is any doubt that the vast majority of refs are unfit.

Careful, you'll get a four match touchline ban with truthful statements like that....
