Though Newey never looks happy until both cars cross the line his face was probably more in think mode rather than concern with Sebs issues (who is happy when they are working for victory? ;) ). They were testing a whole new rear by the looks of it at the YDT and there were no problems for Da Costa or Frjins then so RBR must be trying something new under there and it didn't go to plan, but without fail both drivers 1-2 in FP.

That or RBR are! using those new alternators, rather than the rumours saying they were going to stick with the old ones with Seb anyway... and they are causing glitches with the water system as we saw yesterday.

Well if these new and IMPROVED alternators work without water they don't have a problem but I dont see what the issue is as the temps aren't even over 25c compared with Valencia and Monza that were in the 29-31c + reigion.

Maybe they added less water to Vettel's car to get a fast lap time (less weight to risk alternators burning out), but they came up short right at the end.
    Then again, why risk it?

Both drivers were significantly outside 107% in practice, I've checked it. It'd be interesting to see if the FIA do stop them racing or not. Usually they'd be allowed if they were quick enough in practice, so I guess they'll practically do a quali lap in FP3 to have something to point to. It's hardly going to help them find a buyer if they can't even qualify.

They probably miscalculated how much water they put in under the car, the more they put in the harder they can actually push the car for a longer period. Think of it as a kettle when it's boiling water, not a big deal if it ****s up with overflow just that it could damage something else. It's just being as accurate as possible, not too little or the alternator will possibly go, not too much or the water starts seeping out of the car. But at least they can control the lesser of two evils to a degree if you know what I mean.

I thought the water leaks that RBR have been suffering were something to do with the KERS cooling system.

In fairness both teams have massively underachieved this year and should be well ahead of where they actually are in the points tables. Both Sauber drivers in particular have been inconsistent.

Perez could have done so much more.

Doing stuff like that doesn't help, dear me.

Well Perez might be in trouble, Vettel is very quick, Hamilton is close to him.

Ferrari rear end is poor. But Massa has form this weekend.
