Well yeah, because we were playing away against a good team with 10 men. Started the half well, just need to create something.
Yes, 1 player has made a huge negative impact, but we're still weak overall. No Benny and no dembele in particular or additional signings we needed massively. If the same thing had happened, but we'd had the two players I've mentioned above, there would be a lot more hope as we'd have options. The likes of huddlestone and Dempsey have offered us nothing this season, and now we've got 10 men. I don't see how the lack of players is not a valid point. It's having a huge affect, Ade or not.
Cheers Roo - I wonder if we will go back in for Moutinho in January? It would be a hell of a transfer if it went through. If we could have a fit midfield 4 of Parker, Sandro, Dembele and Moutinho and sell the likes of Jenas and Huddlestone things would start to look a whole lot better.
Surely there's the question of him not wanting to come to us now? I mean, we've not exactly set the league on fire this season have we (yes I know we've got injuries etc etc). He may look at us, our future prospects for the season and current form and think 'no thanks' Just throwing it out there.
Moutinho is probably out of the question, but the point remains. We're threadbare. Yes, ade's been a stupid ****, but injuries always happen. We weren't prepared before the season started and who we did sign was too late. As the say, prior preparation and planning prevents poor performance.
The injuries this season have really killed us. We do have a good squad. Whether a player such as Moutinho could see that and be persuaded remains to be seen. I have begun to have this horrible feeling that we may finish below West Ham.
AVB will get this right. He started as we all wanted. When he have our full strength out we will look good. Thanks again Ade...selfish bastard
Personally speaking I didn't expect us to get a result today regardless. With injuries and a seemingly lack of depth to our squad right now our options are limited. If I blame anyone for recent results, it's Levy. Sooner or later, his head will be on the block for a number of reasons if this season doesn't turn around after January. He has to take the flack for a series of decision in recent years... we all know what I'm talking about.
