------------------------- Hey Sports Fans! Saturday see's Canaries face off against the world-famous Red Devils Franchise. Canaries will be headed into this matchup following a Zero versus Zero bore-draw against struggling BK Royales which saw few chances created at either end. It will be a matchup that Coach Hughton will be keen to put behind him, albeit being a total-shut-out in the Canaries Endzone. Coach Hughton: âWe had to defend a lot of crosses, a lot of corners and a lot of free-kicks but that aspect of the game we did well. Sometimes you do have to sacrifice a little bit. The best teams can be good at both ends. We know where we are and, if we want to be competitive and be in every game, we have to make sure we are tight as a unitâ The Canaries de-fense will be fortunate to maintain another total-shut-out versus a rampant Red Devils offense, however the heroics of Score-Attempt-Preventer J. Ruddy in big ballgames will work in Canaries favour. At the other end of the field Canaries have hardly been prolific in the offence, however G. Holt is famed for his ability to produce the goods against opposition at any end of the Divisional Standings. please log in to view this image Red Devils currently sit P1 in the EPL, having converted an impressive 29 score-attempts and amassing 27 ballgame-points; and with an in-form front line including former Gunners S-A-C R. V. Persie it's not difficult to see why. Red Devils will expect to go all the way to fight their inter-city-rivals (Sheikhs) and London Blues for the EPL Superbowl; however in the roller-coaster world of soccer, it won't be that simple. Coach Ferguson: "Youâve seen Norwichâs display against Arsenal. Iâve got a lot of respect for Chris Hughton. I think heâs done a fantastic job at Birmingham and Newcastle and, with that performance against Arsenal, you think theyâve maybe turned the corner in terms of Chrisâs introduction there as manager. Itâs always the same when a manager goes to a new club. Thereâs a different way of training, there are different ideas about players and maybe Chris is getting it together now." It's hard to see any result from this ballgame other than a Red Devils win, however the sell-out-DeliaDome-bleachers will be packed with Franchise Fans cheering for a Norfolk State victory. If Canaries take the chances which come their way and maintain the same level of discipline in the de-fense we could (fingers crossed) be in for a tight ballgame. He told me not to worry - it would always mirror Portman Road's most recent attendance." NOTE: Moderators have the right to remove any inappropriate comments.
Fantastic job as always PC. Lets hope Paul Scholes celebrated his 38th birthday today, and no gifts for him (or his team) tomorrow.
The way Scholes played against Villa it'll be Norwich getting the gifts from the little man! Holt must be looking forward to roughing up our defence who clearly don't like it up 'em.
SAF has just rung to ask if you guys want a one or two goal head start, and who you would like to score the goals? Our defenders get very confused if they don't know exactly when and how to completely spanner up and gift the opposition the lead. Giggs would also like to apologise in advance for ****ing yet another bird in the 91st minute. He promises to leave his lawyers at home this time
I should imagine Grant Holt will quite fancy facing Manchester United's defence... ...but unfortunately their strikers will probably looking forward to playing ours too.
Well we better not score first. To be honest, this looks like one of the poorest United sides for many a season but they are at the top so they are doing something right. However I think the way we are set up with two wingers, we can get at them and stop their fullbacks getting too deep into our defence.
If Rooney is out injured (rumored that he is). We'll most likely play a 442 with Valencia and Young/Nani on the left. That Valencia/Rafael partnership down the right is something fierce. If that is how we line up, your wingers may have trouble getting out of their own half. However if Rooney is fit we'll probably play a 4-1-2-1-2 and your wingers could exploit the space out wide that will be covered by primarily the fulbacks as there won't be anyone directly in front of them.
I fancy Hernandez as a certain starter and think Ando might start too. Hopefully our attack is as clinical as usual....and our defence is better than usual.
I'm praying, and this is no disrespect to either, that Fergie starts Giggs and Scholes in this one. Think we can really get at them if we do. Also hope he rests Valencia and plays Nani and Young. Very wishful thinking I imagine but whoever said this is a weak United squad..I think other than their CM then you are far off the mark. It's a fabulous squad. Heart says 1-1 but head says 1-3.
Don't come on your board so I take it the soccer and overtime stuff is you being daft or ironic? Anyway, I don't think it'll be an easy game by any means but we're playing some nice stuff at the moment, even if the defending is shambolic at times, so I expect us to win by two clear goals. Reckon we'll concede so I think we'll win 3-1.
It's become a bit of an institution on the Norwich forum for a couple of seasons now - though I can't remember what triggered it in the first place? So many matchday threads just copy and paste the dirge from the BBC website, so CS (the creator) has gona all Americano. You gotta love playing at the "Deliadome", surely
