Best youthies in my first season: please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Not bad.
I'm giving them both quite regular game time, despite both being 15. The two just combined to put me 5-0 up against Arsenal, keeping me 3rd in the table with 5 games left. First season. I love this game.
Only lost 3-1 to Southampton which isn't bad really. I scored! But it was an own goal. Would post a pic but I'm not sure how. I pressed the button for the assistant to give the pre-match talk and it came up with "You can win this!". Seriously, wtf have you been smoking, Mr Assistant?! Also, why are my strikers so wasteful aaaaaarghghghggh
Mason Bennett is ridiculously good. Started as Derby for some reason and he's 16 with 5 star potential. At 17 he has just won his first cap for the main England squad.
First season, final league table: please log in to view this image Seeing as I finished 17 on my first attempt, I'm pretty chuffed with how this year went.
Sign him up soon if you can! I had to shell out £9m to get him to Wolves on my save in the third year (?) I think. Class act.
He's not that good on my save. I thought about signing him but his potential was only 3 stars so I didn't.
England only have three Champions League spots? Whaaa? Did all four teams the previous season get knocked out in the group stage or something, destroying England's co-efficient? Oh and I remember people were talking about Woking selling Football Manager for £10, well Farnborough are also selling it for £10 so rather than support that chavy Woking lot, why not buy it from the mighty Farnborough instead! http://www.farnboroughfc.co.uk/2012/11/football-manager-2013/
Isn't it because 4th place have to beat a couple more teams before they get to the group stage? So Champions league isn't guaranteed?
Season three...over! please log in to view this image Christian Benitez was top league scorer with 28, 38 in all comps. But my defenders were way too inconsistent, neither Shaw nor Riise were much good at LB, and Ochoa was average. The result was I conceded a ludicrous 63 league goals (95 altogether!), 4 league clean sheets. Won the C1C and got to the second knockout of the Europa, losing 6-5 on agg to Tottenham. Top scorers: Benitez 38, Ramirez/Wellington Nem 13, J.Rod 12, JWP 8, Chiffone(newgen?) 7, Cork 6, Morgan 5 Assists: Ramirez 20, Wellington Nem 16, Cork 12, Clyne 11, Chiffone 9, Benitez/Lallana 7, JWP/Morgan/J.Rod 5 Hope I get some cash because I really need a new GK, LB, RB, CB, and at least one AM as well. Plus a load of new contracts.
What's people's opinions on, when playing as a lower league club, creating another manger at a team like Man U, then buying one of your lower league club players for a ridiculous amount of money? Is that acceptable? Is it more acceptable if it's only like 100k rather than 20 million?
Well it's cheating, I don't really care because it's your game so play it how you want, but if you're gonna do something like that then you can't show off about your achievements.
Technically, I haven't done it in this save game yet (though I did do it in Football Manager 2009). Having no money isn't much fun.
I dunno, Woking's average attendance is over 1000 so they probably have a fair amount of money. But haven't done that yet, all my signings are non-contract players, except for Reece Connolly who I just signed on loan from Aldershot (how realistic!). Kinda looking forward to players contracts expiring in the summer as it'll mean I can get rid of some of the overpaid 30+ year olds that are in my squad, though no doubt the players I want to keep will demand huge wages *sigh*. Have you ever edited the stats of players? I haven't done that, although I did add myself as a player with awesome stats on my old computer. I haven't done that this time though, I can't really remember how to use the editor in fact.
