How much do you think our players get paid?

I am bored so I am going to predict the 1st team players wages - just tell me if you agree or not. I will go in order of squad numbers:

12 - Danny Simpson - £15,000
14 - James Perch - £15,000
15 - Dan Gosling - £25,000
16 - Ryan Taylor - £20,000
17 - Alan Smith - £60,000
18 - Jonas Gutierrez - £50,000
20 - Leon Best - £15,000
23 - Shola Ameobi - £30,000
24 - Cheik Tiote - £50,000
26 - Tim Krul - £15,000
27 - Steven Taylor - £50,000
29 - Haris Vuckic - £15,000

I am probably totally wrong, but I have always wondered how much they earned....

 

The likes of Krul, Vuckic and Ranger will be on less than you have stated, probably £5,000-10,000.

Most of the first teamers seem realistic though

 

Thing is Ranger, Vuckic just signed new 5 year deals - think they will earn highish wages - Krul signed 1 at beginning of season too

I'm still not sure though. They will probably have performance and appearance based bonuses which will increase it to the levels you have stated. A bit like Anichebe who sued us because he didn't get those bonuses due to his injury against us.

 

Yeah I suppose - but some big teams were sniffing around Krul and Vuckic, maybe we offered them higher than we should have

What about the likes of LuaLua, Forster, Kadar? I would say they would only get £5,000 at the most...

 

Chappaz, you really think Nolan only gets £25,000? Would be a surprise if it was that low TBH

 

He joined in the relegation season from Bolton. Relatively average player who wasn't renowned for goalscoring at the time. He became captain and became such an important player well after he signed his contract.

If he gets a new contract/extension (over the next few weeks I'd imagine) I have no doubt that it will shoot up and be nearer the wage cap.

 

From what I've heard Colo's on 80k, Nolan, Barton and Smith all on 60k, Enrique on 40k. Cant remember reading about any others, except Xisco on 40k as well supposedly.

 

Also didnt someone say Guthrie was on something like 4k p/w??

 

Aye when he was in court something about his earnings was brought up and released to the press and he was on 4,500k a week if I remember rightly.

He was in court about speeding I believe.

 

Remember hearing last season Guthrie played on £8k/week

 

Was that basic wage though? Must be some playing bonuses or something, surely.

 

hmm if these are about right it's lower than i feared but some work will have to be done if we're really serious about the 50k wage cap

Nile Ranger was on 14k a week on his old contract. My close friend was seeing him for about 8months. I know all his craic.. its f*cking juicy! I can find out what his new wage is if you want.
