We still don't actually know the details of the "loan" do we? I was under the impression that it was set up to facilitate the Ramirez deal as the selling Club were being obstructive about the funding. I have no idea whether it was actually taken up or just a facility created for future use?
The other incident doesn't put the Club into a very good light and is giving the Clubs detractors ammunition.

 

It's got to be something to do with Bologna. When we first heard about this loan, a lot of people overreacted and jumped to the conclusion that we were in financial trouble (and we can thank gomarchingin for that silly conspiracy), but I suspect that it was merely to offset the Ramirez deal because we spent more than we had originally budgeted for in the summer. If you look into the lender (I forget their name) then you'll find that Everton took out a loan with them to replace a previous loan, because this company offered better terms. It could be that we were doing a similar thing.

 

I think it was a cashflow loan. We entered the PL with PL wages and cost, but increased income from the PL hadn't yet started. I think some money is due from Sky in January. Bit like having a mortgage because you want to keep some liquid assets...we've all done that.

 

I haven't! But yeah that's pretty much what I'm getting at.

Still prone to long convoluted sentences...very dangerous for people with an aversion to commas and fullstops.

 

And still accounting for about a third of the total posts on the thread. No change there then.....

 

He was talking in one incredibly long sentence moving from topic to topic so that nobody else had a chance to interrupt, it was really quite hypnotic.

 

His punctuation improved on his jimmythesaint account. Maybe he thinks that his painful posting style is the only thing that made him irritating.
