While at work and a colleague told me he had heard on the radio we had appointed Wilko as manager, my colleagues were all Chelsea/Arsenal fans, I've never been so embarrassed.

Wouldn't mind getting lucky like that every week. That and winning the Lottery of course.

Beware of Gillingham, they've got a fan who could talk the hind legs off a donkey.

Reading bigoted nonsense on here or hearing it at the match. I can take losing a game of football but the unkindness and idiocy of man is hard to witness.

The play off loss to Charlton which ended in my mates pub getting smashed up by fellow Safc supporters 6 of which I ended up fighting with. They saw me talking to a cop outside ( cousins girlfriend) and thought I'd grassed them up. Knocked two of the ****s out but the other four kicked **** out of me.
    Bad day all round.
    5-1 a close second.

With you on that Billy, that's what I'm worried about, we went mad to get McMenemy in & we found out just how good a manager he really was, could the same happen with Martin O'Neill?

Depressed: The appointment of Wilko was the most depressing moment for me. It was so utterly desperate I thought 'we're ****ed long time' with these muppets running things I.e management and above.

Disappointed: milk cup final. Pathetic, just pathetic. I remember my sister winding me up when I started to cry at the end. She never did that again when she realised how disappointed I was, the bitch.

Just all-round ****: Gills at home, Tony Cascarino and the mags n the away end. First and only time I've I was turfed out of the ground for absolutely losing it in response to the great unwashed in the Roker end. A very very angry and **** day.

FFS get a grip man. What a stupid statement. Would you say the same if we got Guardiola, Mourinho, SAF or someone else of that stature as well? MoN is on another whole higher level than McMenemy ever even dreamt of being on.

Charlton play off final mainly because I was just sooo sure it was a guaranteed win I was already celebrating! But forgot about the wilkinson debacle. That ****wit's appt must come a close second for me. Still feel a little sorry for cotterill for getting dragged into that farce
