So was Ibra's strike on Weds night the best goal you have ever seen? Lot's of discussion in the press etc.Personally not for me. I think a t least a couple of Le Gods beat it. The Newcastle juggling one in particular. Apologies I can't post a link.Views?

Maradonas second against England (walk past 10 players in a high profile competitive game against a good Englands side)

Le God's against Newcastle - flicks the ball from behind him over his own head, chip it over the defender, great goal
Le God's free kick chip, volley
Le God's against Man U when he weaved through 3 defenders that were only aa couple of yards apart. Was akin to trying to push through the crowd at the bar to get a pint in a trendy bar.
Le God's against Liverpool when the Liverpool fans behind the goal applaud his genius

And many more from others that I don't remember as well :)

Not to mention his goal against Blackburn, beating Tim Flowers from all of about 40 yards.

I'm not disprespecting that goal by Maradona, it was awesome... but a "good" England side... did he not have to dance past Steve Hodge, Peter Reid and Terry Fenwick? Hardly World Beaters.

Keegans "goal" against United was better than Zlatan's against England.

    Channon v Liverpool
    Wallace v Liverpool

Frank Worthington's first goal in a Saints shirt at home v Wolves... anyone?

That Frank goal also brings back great memories! Seem to remember seeing Charlie George also score a couple of classics but can't remember who against?

Are we on about the same Frnak goal? The one where he tripped and fell over the keeper, the ball hit him and trickled in?

Matty Burrows' goal last year that got him nominated for FIFA Goal of the Year. Or David Healy's third goal v Spain when we beat them 3-2.

    Not biassed of course.

Ibrahimovich's goal was exciting, but a combination of skill and luck (wouldn't have gone in on most days). I've always liked Zola's kick in midair...you can watch it again and again and still not see how he managed to hover. My favourite Tiss goal is the last goal at the Dell (purely because of context).

...And then the small task of lobbing Mr. Schmeichel who was only several yards off his line.

I've always loved the lesser-seen Le Tiss hat-trick against Norwich. There was also a friendly against I *think* Anderlecht (?) where he scored a volley from a cross with the outside of his boot, curling it into the far corner. Stunning technique. Shame he seems more adept at scoring own goals with the club these days.

The left footer against Nottingham Forest where he'd earlier missed the pen wasn't half bad either. But yes, Ibra's goal was something pretty special.

Agree with all of the above, particularly the Le Tiss classics. But anyone remember Gascoigne's goal against Scotland in Euro 96? That was a brilliant combination of skill and audacity.

I've always slightly resented that team as Le Tiss REALLY should have been picked in it. Bloody Venables......

Ibrahimovich's goal was brilliant, but you think if Messi/Ronaldo had scored that.............

It was a bloody good goal! I think it's the best overhead kick i've ever seen. Depends on taste, some people like power shots, some finesse, some volleys, some a lob/chip, some a dribble. Great goals have got to be a combination of some of these. I personally like Le Tissier's lob against United after beating 2/3 defenders.

Not his best goal perhaps but i always remember the free kick against Wimbledon at the Dell where he flicked the ball up and volleyed it in - was in the Milton Road end just behind the goal when he scored it. It was an important goal too as it broke the deadlock and was a match winner.
