The 17 Ingredients To Become A Football ITK http://www.footballfancast.com/football-blogs/the-17-ingredients-to-become-a-football-in-the-knower
I'm sure I'm old enough (Methuselah me) but I don't remember it.... Very good mate of mine runs Western Front battlefield tours as a sideline business - really knows his stuff and I think he was involved in the archeological dig in this programme. Did Ypres, The Somme and Vimy Ridge with him and a few mates a few years ago - really worth doing if you ever get the time.
Interesting SR as my contact says MH stays regardless of the result. There are just as many rumours circulating around the staff within the club as there are on here. It's just a question of which is right. As I said to him, unless you heard it from the horses mouth I'll wait and see for myself (he didn't so I wait!).
Actually, trying to cast my mind back to the "how old are you?" thread, I think you might be a tad older than me (no offence). Charley's War was a story in Battle comic (when I were a lad) following a young infantryman on the Somme. Was very graphic and pulled few punches about the harsh brutalities of the Great War. I doubt they'd be allowed to publish such stuff in comics for the poor little darlings today. Sorry guys... gone off piste on this thread.
I would have thought that it is highly unlikely that Hughes has already been sacked and is leaving on Monday. Surely he wouldn't be in charge on Saturday if that were the case? Sounds like a duff rumour to me.
If we sack Hughes and replace him with Sven I will explode....litterally......like for like...no personality.....destined to fail
Yes, but if 'Arry is to be confirmed on Monday, then he could have been confirmed this week and had a home game as his first. Doesn't add up to me.
I'm shocked! Was sure it was his personality that made the ladys fall As to the OP, ITK? Nah. More a calculated guess that looks more solid than at five o'clock saturday after more points lost at LR.
I will admit to a personal dislike of Arry, but I really believe he is hugely overrated. Just look at his record with Spurs - disregarding his work at Southampton and legacy at Portsmouth. Ramos had a disastrous start to season with Spurs before he was sacked, but Jol had finished 5th in the 2 preceding seasons with much the same team, and Ramos had won the League Cup the year before - hardly a miracle save from relegation. Arry won nothing with Spurs, despite spending £78m more in the transfer market than he made through sales. Then, last January he has a cushion of 10 points over Arsenal in 4th place and squanders it through inability to change tactics ("I don't do tactics") and unwillingness to change personnel - sound familiar? He blamed the 'distractions' of his health problems, legal problems ( during which he admitted 'writing like a 2 year old' and lying to journalists about payments made to him), 'uncertainty' over whether he would get a new contract at Spurs and speculation over the England job, but Levy found it pretty easy to sack him with a very muted outcry from Spurs fans. Former players snigger when describing his team talks and the 'intensity' of his training sessions. By the way, he is an Arsenal fan. As I've said before, move Hughes on by all means, but this bloke leaves me very nervous. If he comes it will be at enormous cost, with his own entourage and doubtless another hefty transfer budget.
Someone in FI posted hes heard the same thing from Southampton/Bournemouth that HR will take over on Monday. The thing is with him Spurs are just about the only club not to have gone into admin after he left.
Hi Col, I posted something similar at start of this thread but then was pondering over during my cycle home. Perhaps a debut for Harry against Southampton is exactly what was not wanted?? That would really fire up the Southampton team I think. Just a thought.
Plus theres zero pressure at Utd away. Harry is a PL version of Warnock, very little tactics and a wheeler dealer which costs money. Benitez is the man and he wont rotate as much as he did with Liverpool because we havent got the squad depth to do that.
How about two horses mouths? Surprised it's taken anyone this long to tell us that this will happen. Have you all forgotten already what TF and Hughes said after the defeat at Stoke. Both praised the performance of the team and said that we had to win against Southampton. I looked in my crystal ball then and said "What a coincidence? Have words been spoken? Or do they go to the same soundbite editor?" We should all be classed as ITKs after those utterances. The merit of tweeting is that you can be economical with the truth in so many different ways.
That's why Benitez wouldn't come. And Harry isn't half the manager Warnock was. The only real test to prove the point would be to gvie Harry three and sixpence and get him to turn us round the way Warnock did in the time he did. I'm with Stan on this one. Success with Harry is always limited and should come with a financial health warning. Employing this man can seriously damage your financial health. The problem with mercenary players is not cured by employing a mercenary manager.
