Meh, Alonso looked a tad pissed off though didn't he? Arms crossed and the old I'm bored pose with his head in his hand.
Back to the track, no matter how much I look at that series of esses in the first sector, the next time I look at a map of the track there always seems to be more than I thought. It's almost like there are two different sections of esses. The first few are very loose high-speed swoops and not particularly dependant on traction but then they start to tighten up and gives a sort of "when will this end?" feeling. I'd say there's definitely a lot more to learn about this track than somewhere like Korea or India. There's just more technique and skill required.
Mark Webber at Austin: "The car's changed more than I've ever had it change over the course of the season, but only because it was very poor at the start of the season relative to where we could be. We've now improved the car well but people talk about it being the best car, and yes it's fast, but we've still got areas we need to work on, but we don't name them for general consumption." Mark's opinion on the quality of the car is more valid than any pundit or fanboy could ever say about it this year...

Other teams were in serious trouble at the start of the season:
Mark's opinion (not fact) is about as subjective as it's possible to be: "Very poor"? Tell that to Glock or Kovi!
Lets all just cherry pick quotes from our favorite drivers to make the cars that their are driving seem a lot slower than they actually are. Please Silver and Forza I can understand that you guys will be tense for these last two races but lets leave the rabid fanboysim for the moment. They haven't even started racing yet! I do not want to do what this place is going to look like come Sunday evening/Monday morning.
I'd like to think we have two high-level contributors slugging it out in a well balanced debate on each of their drivers. Chuckle Brothers seems more apt at the moment. I'm sure there are a few threads that haven't been taken over yet lads............
Well I can promise you this, if you asked me to keep away for the next 2 weeks until the WDC is decided I would do it because from the flip side I can understand. But I cant promise what my reactions will be like with this race or next if you said no..... that you can count on!
Q. (Carlos Miguel - La Gaceta) Question for Kimi, Pedro, Lewis and Segio; between Sebastian and Fernando, who would be your bet for the championship? LH: I don't know really. I think you just put money on both of them. Either way, you have a good chance of winning. Its random quotes day isn't it?
