Just curious to see what others thought about this - surely turning up in numbers and singing to the hills would be a better course of action than not turning up? I understand they probably don't want to give them the money, but if I was a fan of AFC Wimbledon I imagine this is the game I would have waited 10 years for.

It's amazing that people will turn their backs on what will be history. I'm not advocating any form of civil disobedience here but what an opportunity for the militants on either side to make a statement. I would turn up naked for this game if I was AFC

i'd wanna go (if i was a afc wimbledon fan) just for some feeling/opportunity to take revenge. if they won, how much satisfaction would you get knowing that your better than the team that destroyed yours?

This is madness! They have to go in numbers...... Yards will get AFC through <ok> a draw at MK and a win in London

Its not about supporting their team in a legendary fixture, or about getting 'revenge'.

AFC fans do not see it as 'revenge', because in beating MK Dons, they are acknowledging them as a footballing side and as rivals. They are not rivals, they believe MK Dons should not even exist.

The AFC owners have said before that if the two sides were drawn together in a cup, they would consider not turning up. This (or a fans boycott) are far more effective ways of putting across how they feel, than turning up in the masses and hoping for an 'upset'.

You've hit the nail bang on the head here mate...!!

A good friend of mine is an AFC season ticket holder. I was talking to him about it the other day and he said that he doesn't really know what he feels about the prospect of playing MK Dongs.

Part of him wants to go and support his club, and part of him wants to completely boycot the game because he doesn't believe MK Dongs should even exist.

It's a tricky one for any AFC fan that's for sure...!!

I couldn't give a monkeys and to be honest hated the original Wimbledon that is romanticised about these days and the one that AFC is the bastard child.
The Wimbledon of jones wise fash were nasty as for MK can't stand the manager at all.
    Result I don't care

In fairness, they've had a fair few seasons of rising up the divisions (and watching MK Dons fall and stutter) to think about it. It must have popped into their minds at some time that it was possible for the clubs to be drawn together in one of the 3 cups or to be in the same league.

That said, I have a lot more time for AFCW than I have for, say, FCUM. Anyway, it's fairly straightforward for me. Having been to Milton Keynes twice (once against my wishes), I don't know why anyone would voluntarily go there. <ok>

I was at Kingsmeadow tonight. They were queuing round the block for Cup tickets and singing about MK Dons. I think the majority will go and make a noise.

I hope they win for Mambo, and for their president Dickie Guy who is a top man.
