Satou (2.00 Ludlow) jumped like a pig on his first run of the season at Haydock, and will need to be a lot more fluent over his obstacles than he was that day if he's going to trouble the judge todasy. That said, he looks well handicapped off a mark of 115, and if Dickie Johnson can get him into a rythmn he can outclass this field and make oddsof 2/1 look generous. Or not...
Maybe if he held him back a bit he may have done Archers... Thats what Paul Maloney did for his ride...
Yeah, maybe. Or maybe an uncontested lead would have helped. I think the best horse at the weights probably won, but he certainly got a good patient ride from Maloney.
