Sometimes Kitch you can be a complete WUM. Why oh why go to the extreme? No-one has settled for failure, we have discussed what it means and what it does for the club and will it be that bad. No-one has given up; I still go to every home game and sing my heart out for the team.
You just highlight yourself as an uncreditworthy poster with things like this, which is a shame as you do post some good opinons (even some that I do't agree with).
please stop postingnot wumming at all or if i am i am rubbish at it cause there is nothing in that post that should wum anyone unless your all very sensitive.
1st point would we be anyworse off now if we hadn't bought in any players pre season, i for one highly doubt it. i think the players we had last season would have got us 5 points from 11 games.
2nd If things don't improve then we would need to buy the barcelona team to have anychance of survival, so what is the point of a transfer rumour thread this early cause if things don't improve we will be better off selling than buying. Do you not agree

No Kitch we would not be better off with selling. In the first place it would send out the wrong message...I E that we have given up.....In the second place people would assume we are hard up for money and try and buy our best players at knock down prices so that we would actually lose money.
Also all players for Saints have a clause in their contracts that reduces their salaries by a substantial amount in the event we are relegated.
They might not like it but they're under contract to saints and no one else.
If we were relegated we would look to most of the players that got us relegated to get us back up with a few more additions perhaps.
So the emphasis would be on re building not letting players go although granted some may feel it would be better for them to go.
However they may be asked to fulfill their contracts they don't have an automatic right to go.
So if we are 4 points off safety by Jan we should sell our players? according to Kitch, How does that even make sence?.[/QUOTE
Thats exactly what i said yeah.

see again your stating things as facts when unless your head of contracts you know as much as me. If gaston's agent has let us put a clause in his contract saying we are cutting his wages if we get relegated then he's not the best agent, surely he would of put something in there like i don't know a relegation release clause or thats what i would of done if i was his agent. And i'm guessing as NC is adament we won't get relegated while he's in charge then he might of allowed such a clause.
However i was not being serious when i said we should sell you are a sensative bunch on here. I'm just saying if we get to jan spend loads more money would peoples attitude towards relegation change or would it still be an acceptable option for you all.
Read your second point, you said if things don't improve we would have to buy the barca team to survive. Then go on to say why talk about transfers when we would be better off selling. No where in that point did you say if it got worse and we became more adrift of survival. So if things stay the same we would be around about 4 points off survival, yet you said we should sell.
Trouble is it is a catch 22 isn't it....You are damned if you do and you are damned if you don't........If we are in the mud to the extent that it is obvious in January that new players are going to be needed, to get us out of it. Then what is the most logical to do?
As for Facts...... it has been standard practice for Teams of Saints Standing to insist that the lower salary clause is in to protect from total disaster should the team be relegated. That is a fact and is common practice....I do not specifically know what any individuals salary is of course I don't but I do know for a fact that, that is Saints Salary policy. It would not be worth arguing or even discussing what additional things they have in their contracts as it is hypothetical.
The point of the discussion was your point about selling the players. Why are we sensitive when we discuss that which is written? You argued you were not wumming in reply to another poster. So when we take your replies as serious, you accuse us of being sensitive.
I was more concentrating on us we had 4 points after 10 games so if we were on 8 points after 20 games then we would prob need barce's team to get 30 points from the last 18 games.
