After finding no evidence to suggest any offense occurred. Personally I feel Chelsea were being malicious due to the bitterness of the Terry saga. They should be docked points imo. What are peoples thoughts on this one?
Can't see them being docked points mate and, as the FA are as toothless as a worm with dentures can see the FA dropping it as well. The only people I can see kicking off will be the refs association.
If they can proove that no offence took place, then action should be taken against the players that said otherwise...
Yes, but will Chelsea accept that nothing untoward took place. They have opened too many issues involving such as the Black Lawyers League, the FA can now rule that the criminal case is now a no go. Only football will suffer if they keep it festering. Its very doubtful if common sense will rule in future thoiugh and it will happen again. Let's make it easy and demand that future signings from abroad take a written English test, most people seeking employment need it so why not them!!!!!!!!!!
Clattenburg would have been kicked out of football AND a criminal case would have ensued. Surely this should apply to the Chelsea players who made these allegations and apparently wrote statements to that effect. Unfortunately the FA will do FA because as stated earlier they are spineless unelected w*nkers. They are probably hoping it will just calm down and go away.
A bit like when a bird says a bloke tried to rape her when he didn't. The stigma on the bloke is horrendous and when the case falls apart it casts doubt on other allegations when the bloke actually did do something, which doesn't help other women. These claims should be looked at at the very least. If they were found to be malicious, then Chelsea should get stepped on.
What did we expect from Chelsea? I mean none of their players ever say anything "inappropriate".................do they?
Another point is, a few years ago the FA said only team captains can approach & talk to referee's, has this been changed or is that rule disregarded?
Chelsea have done nothing wrong. They were obliged to report it as a responsible employer. Yes the media would like to pin it on them and insinuate it was related to the Terry case as it sells papers. Logically though you have to understand the position they were put in by 3 employees. According to Ray Wilkins they even asked the players to consider if it was misheard and asked them to take time to consider what they were accusing him of. They refused. The players however have questions to answer and some form of punishment. It is wrong to claim Clattenburgs reputation has been damaged though. I can honestly say I do not know any one outside of the association of black lawyers and the three players who believe there was a case to answer. Personally I hope the FA clearly lay out that no racism took place, the players accept this and issue a full and unreserved public apology, all make a contribution to the kick it out campaign and at worst pay damages to Clattenburg. I hope it doesn't go legal but suspect it will as he has a very strong case for defamation of character and will rightly be cheesed off. The FA should also order the players to undergo further english lessons to lessen the chance of them making such an error of judgement in the future. Again the FA should have dealt with this more swiftly, and again I dare say the words "inconclusive evidence" will be used rather than condemning the players.
There has been a lot of mentions for the "Black Lawyers Society" during this investigation. If they refuse me membership because I'm not a lawyer that's ok , but if they refuse me membership because I'm not black , is that racism ?
I asked this elsewhere. Lets say it caused a kerfuffle. If I started a "White Lawyers Society" there would be all hell to pay from certain parties.
It's totally a one way thing and has driven a huge wedge in society rather than heal conflict. It's why the right wing extreme elements are on the rise across the whole of Europe at the moment. There is a massive feeling that majority white, straight, middle class/working class indigenous Christian populations of Europe are being left behind and marginalised. It's what facists, racists and extreme organisations have preyed on since the beginning of time but its on the rise again. It's very worrying tbh.
I heard that Clattenburg said something to Ramires, who doesn't speak any English, who then repeated the apparent wording to Luiz, who also doesn't speak very good English who made the complaint - Clattenburg then told Mikkel to **** Off!! Chelsea are acting like a bunch of Children in this!! - I reckon all he has done is told a player to **** Off - if they suddenly say that this is unreasonable then what about Ashley Cole and John Terry - 2 players who constantly swear at officials (and in just as bad a way as Cattermole got sent off for against the mags last season) Yet they don't even get booked - I hope they **** themselves up with referees completely - they always get all the decisions well now they are joining our world with a bit of luck!! Also re the "White/Black Lawyers association etc" - I work for the NHS and in the union there is a support group for the following members: LGBT (Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender) Women Young People (Under 27) Black and Ethnic Minorty members Disabled Members There is no group for Straight, white, able bodied males over 27 - the groups above make up over 80% of members so surely the straight white man is a minority here?? - As a 37 year old straight able bodied man I don't have a support group
Mort Goldman is our lawyer & he's jewish. I cannot see a referee calling a player a monkey mind. I flatly refuse to believe it.
My union is Solidarity & they don't care who you are, what you are, what colour you are or what your politics are. They are there for you. Only £7 a month too.
