They're averaging about 8.5k this season and I suspect they include barely any fans from Wimbledon.

There was already a semi-pro team in MK - MK Borough (I used to play against them many years ago in what was then the South Midlands League) - I believe they were somehow subsumed into what is now the pro-club ...

Chelsea also have a similar thread to this in which I posted the following recently. The link may be of interest to you on here:-

I live in Milton Keynes (15 minutes away from the stadium )and remember it well, and most people here also didn't want it to happen at all, we got sick of all the local papers pushing it all the time, and full of bloody Pete Winkleman week in and week out while locals really wanted the Milton Keynes City Club to be sorted out, not a whole team just shifted in, it became a big embarassment, and MK has enough of those already .
I have only been to the stadium twice to watch them play, both times because RDM had taken over as Manager, and I wanted to see Flo again.
I still think this should never have been allowed to happen, but a lot of people got rich off the back of this (of course) and we got an
Asda and Ikea thrown in with the deal which we were all supposed to have been impressed by and won over. Didn't work for me, and now its just a huge congestion on match days in a small town (Bletchley) which certainly wasn't built to take it,

Anyone interested can go and look at this for info

Should they play, well I can see it being a good match so yes let them sort it out on the pitch once and for all :emoticon-0105-wink:

I will admit that although I am Hull born but I was brought up and live in the south east. My uncle was a diehard Wimbledon fan and used to take me to Plough lane and Selhurst park a few times a season. So Wimbledon will always have a little part of my heart, Hope they pull of a shock win can't stand MK Cons!

I used to go to the odd Wimbledon game when I lived next to Wandsworth Common, I just checked out the flat I used to own(it was the first property I ever bought) and it was sold in 2006 for £174,000.00. I bought it in the early 80's for £26k, I wish I'd kept it now.
