I'm not too sure we should be reading too much into Jakupović's international career, he has one cap for Switzerland in a friendly against Cyprus five years ago.
We cant compare cos we havent seen enough of Jakupovic to compare, but thats what Bruce and the rest of his staff are paid to do. When Bruce came to us as manager he didnt have to play every player for a half dozen games to see what he was like in a match. Dont get me wrong Jakupovic may be better but I havent seen anything to say so (mainly cos I havent seen him) so for now and until I have evidence otherwise I trust Bruce on this one. Do people really want to give him half a dozen games just to find out hes actually much worse and weve dropped right down the table (just a scenario)
No, you're absolutely right, but then again, if the keeper we have keeps making mistakes then what choice does SB have? SAF is the manager of Manchester United, not Hull City and if his player isn't playing very well then he of all people will understand why he's been dropped. If he does get relegated to the bench, then perhaps Fergie will put a hand on his shoulder and explain to him the breaks of football. If you don't play well, you don't get in the team. The Myhill/Duke era is a similar representation, both good keepers, one made mistakes so the other came in. Duke had to wait a long time to get his shot but he took it with both hands, so fair play to him (and now he's at Bradford, which is still too low a level for him IMO). So perhaps Jackie will have to wait for his time, but when it comes I don't think we'll be disappointed.
Wait til you see Jakupovic, i saw him in pre-season then in reserves and he has not shown anything anywhere near first team potential. Looks very poor in the air, distribution is good, shot stopping is average, just looks very average all round to me.
Does Myhill still have his house in the area ? It would not surprise me to see Myhill back @ Hull as 3 years away in the midlands is enough for anyone. Assume that means we won the game then.
It was 1-1, they scored an own goal and there was nothing Jakupovic could do about the goal they scored.
