I'll own up to booing as I was frustrated with how we played, but some will say it is wrong to boo your team under any circumstances. Thoughts people?
I'm not sure here: I think it's a bit horrible to boo your own team; especially before they've finished the match However, I think that the fans should let the team/manager about their disappointment. Don't lose any sleep over it, Stoke's football, on many occasions, deserves to be booed.
Hi Sarge. Good to see you back. To be honest, I was disappointed there was that sort of reception for the team at halftime.I would encourage comments towards the manager rather than the players as he is the one that sets them up to play the way he wants. I would simply like them to be given more freedom to express themselves. To a great extent I think some have achieved that so far this season and I feel that N'Zonzi has made a major difference in midfield. Perhaps with the goal Adam scored on Saturday, his confidence will grow to the benefit of the whole team. With Walters apperently injured there may be hope we see somebody else up front with Crouch at West Ham.
Ive never booed my own team and never will, never understood why people do it to be honest. You pay money to go and support your team yet you boo them?, its not what I like to hear but I know that lots and lots of fans do it, its just not my cup of tea. I can understand the reasoning that you are not happy with the performances etc, but doing it whilst the game is in progress doesnt make any sense to me.
Its a diffiuclt one really, but its fine line between being aimed at the lack of effort of players (if applicable) or the displeasure at a manager. I have done it myself in the past (very rarely) and always question the logic behind it after the event. I agree with Tent that any negative response should really be aimed at a manager and not a team as a whole.
I CBA to boo .. to me it wont do any good and i expect TP to sort em out ..... which i suppose he did again .. another 3 points . this new system we are now playin is clearly causin some confusion but the majority of prem teams play it so lets see how it goes ... I honestly think we are good enuff to play ****e and survive .. the question is can we play good football and look good and do better That s the 6 miin dollar question fellas ! I think we can !!! too easy jump on a bandwagon the bigger picture is " can we play more attractive football to conform " lol is that the bigger question ? thoughts ?
Loud enough. I didn't initially boo, but I kind of joined in out of frustration at the poorness at some of our play. It was indication to Pulis rather than our players more than anything. There was booing when Adam was substituted I seemed to remember as well. That was definitely aimed at the manager for sure. At least I hope it wasn't aimed at Deano coming on.
I personally dont think its is a question of playing attractive football to conform, more of playing better football to maximise our potential and more importantly to justify the money spent - i.e. the £10000000 question.
