Seems like they are trying to write about what was said at the Fans forum but a week later because naturally the fact it was on a Thursday evening which meant the WO didn't have time to report on it when the story was fresh. http://www.caughtoffside.com/2012/1...alks-with-world-cup-winner-over-january-move/ Is this likely..do we need another loan midfielder?
Enough is enough, I reckon - as it is, we will be spending January trying to off-load about 15 players.
We are getting noticed now. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/10042570.Watford_duo_in_team_of_the_week/
Young striker to go back? He said on "Twitter" (yes I know..) Steve Beleck ‏@leosteve8 Ciao Watford
Could this be the wonder kid we are reputed to be signing? Name of Panos Armenakas .He is Australian, made the headlines when he was 7 on nstional TV for his ability and has been tracked by all Europes top clubs. Barca scouted him at 10 but he didn't want to live in Spain. Has been in AC Milan's Australian Academy (North Sydney Utd) last couple seasons. Speculation only that I found on another site.
Another bit in the WO from the fans forum. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...South_West_corner_should_be_complete_by_July/ As I wondered at the time, why do we have a partner going to carry this work out? I suppose that if it involves new money coming into the club then we should be pleased to see something finally happening.
I don't like it when the club are coy about where money is coming from, it's a bit too Bassini for my liking. But then again if it gets the corner finished...
A really good blog here from Matt Rowson. http://thetwounfortunates.com/a-bluffers-guide-to-watford-class-of-2013/
Well written, are his credentials good ? I'm not ready to be seduced tho, should wait and see whether those borrowed really do become permanent and what the clubs attitude is if the bigger clubs (Barcelona; Luton) do come sniffing for the likes of Hoban,Murray.Admittedly difficult for a club tho if the player wants to move up. Where DO you find all these snippets OFH ? You obviously dont do the ironing in your house !
that is him, apparently. And from what i gather, we've already signed him, but that could just be rumour...
i have to admit, the few times i saw him play i wasn't impressed..he was lollopy at best. Sad for him though, i doubt we saw the best of him...
Takes me back about 10 years to when I was coaching a primary school team in Queensland - the captain of the Queensland Primary Schools team transferred to our school from Brisbane. He was a young Greek-Australian who was just about the best junior player I have ever set eyes on - at 11 years old he had it all, skill, vision, leadership etc - he was light years ahead of the rest of the players in my town, even those 16 year-olds at the top of the junior ranks. He progressed steadily through the State & National Representative age ranks until he was about 16, then went back to Brisbane whereupon his 'career' simply stopped. He still plays for a lower-ranked club in Brisbane but never reached the heights that were predicted for him. An all-too-common story I'm afraid, so whilst he's still only 15, I'll reserve judgement on how good he will turn out to be.
Always be some youngsters who appear fantastic at an early age, but fail to progress, in the same way that some are quite late developing. Anyway here is a clip of this wonder kid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYH1z6qlaWE
The latest on all the walking/jogging wounded. http://www.watfordfc.com/news/article/121114-marcos-injury-update-486083.aspx
Lets hope Almen is nearer the 4 weeks healing time than the 12 weeks, hopefully anterior dislocation rather than posterior dislocation. Any road up a real miss for us as he was in really good form
Ah, a medical expert, Norvege - please explain the difference between an anterior and a posterior dislocation. Something to do with front & back?
I assume that this is the full article from last Fridays WO. http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/10047105._Our_dream_won_t_jeopardise_the_club_/
