Of course it's not certain and that's where your argument falls down. It is certain in your mind only and that is called an opinion! Can you answer the question? Theoretically, as I don't know either, if paying off Hughes but still getting relegated would mean the end of the club Portsmouth style would you still sack him?
The only certain thing that I'm aware of is that Hughes has had 11 games, not won any, left us bottom of the league and with a team that look seriously disinterested. So on that basis, I'm all for the uncertainty of appointing someone like Redknapp who took over at Spurs in almost identical circumstances and achieved a remarkable turnaround.
To answer the OP, obviously not it will just mean that whoever is manager and the team will have to pick up another three points from somewhere out of the 81 left to play for. All this 'better for us to lose' stuff is based on idiot logic, assumptions with no evidence behind them and a defeatist attitude. I'm confident that 99.9999% of us at LR and watching on TV on Saturday will be fully behind the team, because they (like me) are constitutionally unable to do anything else.
Don't stress test my maths on that mate. Bob doesn't do home games does he? Not saying these blokes are any less of a supporter than me, but they certainly are different. If things go badly it could get very ugly at the end of the match - just hope it doesn't come to that.
No , im the mug who does away games!!! Its each to their own and i think you are taking comments by myself and flyer out of context. We don't want our team to EVER lose. I want Hughes out as you are aware, why should beating Southampton at home save his job? An ideal situation would be to win and Hughes get sacked! If we win, and come on now lads, if you picked a game at the beginning of the season where you would expect maximum points, then this fixture it would be!, then the naieve will treat him like some messiah!! Well Tony will anyway. It really shouldn't have got to this stage, but without sounding big headed, i stated months ago that Hughes is not a good manager.
I'd trust another manager to easily recoup any lost points on Saturday and more besides. I don't want us to lose but as i stated in my opener i've got to the stage where long term, a defeat would be preferable to another half-arsed draw and 6 more games under Hughes
Its not a defeatest attitude nor idiotic logic, i don't want us to lose but if that's the breaker for Hughes to get sacked then so be it. This bloke is taking us down its as simple as that, all the evidence and FACTS to date show that. We want the best for our club and will not have the blinkers on if we win against the mighty saints!
Yes because keeping him would ensure that would happen. Its not an opinion, its backed up by facts, how many manager have turned a situation like this around once the fans want him out?
Theres a thread on every board about this so its not just me. http://qprdot.org/viewtopic.php?t=65276 http://www.wearetherangersboys.com/forum/showthread.php?150767-Win-or-Sack http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/fb_mb.php?m=v&t=67492#55
1. Who and where stated the club would go under if sacking Hughes and relegation. 2. IF that was the case then TF isn't a very shrewd business man at all. 3. We would not come back up under Hughes, even more costly! 4. If we go down he will walk away as the championship is beneath his class (in his own mind)
