The Sun (I know...) says he's off to Sheffield Wednesday on loan. May be true and makes a bit of sense, but I'd like him given more experience in the Prem, personally. I think he has a cool head and just needs a bit of a run to start showing what he can do.

I think its best for him, short term loan. Get some games goals and confidence.
We have Fletcher, Saha, Campbell and Ji currently so we are covered. If he does hit some form he'll jump ahead of Campbell, Ji and maybe even Saha and could be knocking on Fletchers door or could even force mons hand to start them together

For me...I would rather have Whickham on the bench rather than our South Korean marketing signing. Some players can make a difference coming off the bench, much like Dzeko for City at the moment. I would rather have Whickam coming on...someone who can rough up defenders, rather than Ji, who is way too lightweight and not suitable for the Premiership.
Whickham will only get better in the Premier by getting some game time. Don't think sending the lad off to Wednesday is a great idea, but if he does, lets hope he comes back and becomes what we thought he could be when we signed him.

I think it's suicide to send him out on loan. I understand that it would be in HIS best interests right now but what it Fletcher were to get injured? who do we have? Saha, Ji, who else?

I'd rather he stayed with us and got a few run outs off the bench instead of bringing Saha on, lets face it, he hasn't done anything so far has he? you can see his quality but it's not getting us goals, give Connor a chance and lets see what a run would do for him.

Remember chaps he was woeful all last year bar one good turn and finish against villa. If anyone thinks Wickham is our saviour, then god help us. Yes he's doing well in the reserves but Noble was and now he can't even make a dent in league . He may come good, but sitting on our bench isn't going to help him

Never said he was our saviour mate, just back up in the event that Fletcher gets injured.

Fletcher took some stick on Saturday and I'll be very surprised if he isn't injured soon, we definitely need back up for him.
If this loan is on for Wickham , I think it would be a bad move.

Think this is a wee bit harsh, he was injured for long periods & never got a chance to get a run of games together.

His first touch, which was my major concern, looks much improved (still some way to go...) & for the form he's shown away from the first XI I think he deserves a chance.

That said, Wednesday is a smashing club, and he'd benefit for sure from time down there, we simply insert a recall clause for the sake of injuries to Fletch.

If he goes down and bags a few he'll come back flying, & determined to make it in the Prem.

The lad needs games and is starting to show that he can score given the chance, albeit not in the EPL (yet) the Recall Clause usually has a 28 day period i beleive? the next 28 days are critical for us mate and if Fletch got crocked ??????? the more the back -up we have the merrier in my book.

I'd rather he got a chance here mate, been quite vocal about it last 2-3 weeks.

He is in rich form, and I know people refer to NOble, but Connor is a big unit, Noble's failing at the top level is physical, to date.

I'd fancy Connor & Fletch to trouble any defence!

Balottelli is leaving Man city, what about him coming here ?, and would he come. As for Connor i would give him 30 mins on sunday, by switching Sess into midfield and putting him up front with Fletcher. And if i win the euromillions i will extend the stadium to hold 66,000 and season tickets would be about £150 each in most stands!, get Jose in as manager and buy everyone a pint!.

Even though i like him cos i think he has that touch of quality, Saha just isn't doing it for me. So why not give young Connor a chance? he's faster, fitter equally as strong, i say keep him here. Maybe MON knows something we don't eh?

The way Fletcher puts himself about and gets stuck in, it's only a matter of time before he gets crocked and that worries me cos we just don't have the strength in depth in that department. We need to keep hold of Wickham even though it might be detrimental to his developement. Campbell isn't a striker, Ji is too lightweight by far, Saha, as mentioned, i like him but he's slow and wouldn't last 90 minutes anyway. We don't have many options IMO and it would be suicidal to let the lad go on loan with our fixture list over the next 4 to 6 weeks.
