What is it with the even numbers of the leagues? Why not 1 17 team league? 32 games a season might just be viable to clubs who need the gate money. if its 30 games a season there just isn't enough games and moneys will be down. I still maintain it should be 2 18 team leagues and then a regional set up after that.
One League of 42 teams ... play each other once .. venue decided by raffle ticket draw. venue can be any ground in Scotland i.e Celtic v Rangers at Starks park Aberdeen v Falkirk at Annan's ground Stirling Albion v Motherwell at Hampden
It's just shuffling the deck chairs. The real problems are cost of going to games based on the product quality, the weather and the poor facilities. These things are unlikely to change whether it be 12 teams or 20. Tickets prices need to reflect the quality on show, we need summer football and serious Government investment in facilities.
It feels like this has been talked about, constantly, since I was a wee boy. I want an 18 team top league. It's what normal countries have. I know we have a shortage of larger clubs but it would just be more normal.
Exactly ... Time to follow the german model ... more regional training centres with yout players not attached to any one team until the reach 16. Summer football (March to October) Wage caps Ticket price caps and in line with product Full time U23 league
Sevco selling the fast track through the league as a reason to invest. https://skydrive.live.com/view.aspx?resid=7241D12A18C19C59!387&app=PowerPoint PS. I didn't knock this up in 5 minutes on my powerpoint machine. This is the real deal.
Maybe not - but it looks like somebody, who believes it'll be no problem pulling in suckers, did. Embarrassing? Yes. Fake? If not, surely it's a joke ...
I have seen some fairly sophisticated and brilliantly presented scams in my time....this is not one of them. please log in to view this image
SPL clubs will not vote for fewer games over the season. Doubt very much if there will be reconstruction in time to save SEVCO, who IMO may not be here next July.
