On Monday evening, Morgan spoke to TalkSPORT’s Drive Time programme on his love for Arsenal and why he believes Wenger should be sacked.

Incredibly, Morgan mentions former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp as a potential replacement(bonkers - this would be a step backwards) along with the likes of Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho. I have to agree that Klopp or Guardiola would more than likley be improvements on an unambitious, seemingly unmotivated Wenger.

Much of Morgan’s ire is aimed at Ivan Gazidis with the CNN presenter lamenting the departure of David Dein at Arsenal.

Do any Arsenal fans agree with Piers Morgan’s sentiments?

Now I cant stand Piers Morgan but I do think he raises a few good points. I'm undecided on the issue, I still think Wenger is a TOP manager capable of bringing success back to the club but I would agree with Morgan that he seems to have lost something in recent years and the fact he appears 'happy' with the clubs current position is somewhat troubling.

It strikes me as false logic to suggest that Arsenal would spend more money and be more ambitious if they got rid of Wenger. We all know the board would go for the cheapest option available - probably Graeme Souness.

I'll add that I didn't listen to what Piers has to say, because he makes me want to break things.

I still stand by my opinion that its the board. Initially when wenger took over he bought the likes of Henry, Viera and pires for inflated prices. I can't think what would have changed his outlook so dramatically. Oh and I too can't stand Morgan and wouldn't bother with the opinion of anyone advocating redknapp!

If we sacked Wenger now, we would be in an even worse position...

    Yeah its a weird one.

Wenger is a genius and I've long stated the board are to blame for much of our recent failures but you have to admit it 'seems' that Wenger has lost some ambition.

The two things Morgan seems to be right about..

a). Wengers admittance that a Champions League place is "like winning a trophy"
    b) The fact that Wenger negotiated with Ferguson and agreed to sell RVP to a team that should be our 'rivals'.

Those are worrying signs the manager is in fact happy with us being the 3rd/4th best club in the country.

Wenger had no choice in the VP sale, the board forced his hand and United were the only ones willing to pay enough.

If i was Morgan i'd be more worried about allegations of phone hacking at the Daily Mirror when he was editor. He swore under oath at the Levesson enquiry that he had no knowledge of hacking taking place.I'd love to see that **** being charged with perjury.
He's just another celebrity fan who has the arrogance to think he speaks for Arsenal fans.He is also the **** who printed lies about Arsenal supporters which ended up with them getting life bans from Highbury.

Can we ignore whether or not you like or dislike the person and instead comment on the points he raises in this interview?
It's the same with a lot of not particularly popular people. Folks would rather attack their character than accept that some of the things they are saying are very true.

As a manager why would you stick around if that's the case?.. Why would Wenger repeatedly refuse the French National Team and Real Madrid to stay managing a club where he has zero power?

I used to think the same way but it just does'nt quite add up.

Loyalty is still alive and wenger is one of the few who remain loyal.

The prick is just trying to give himself publicity.I notice he gave his interview to the "drive" programme on TalkSport, a programme introduced by Adrian Durham. This is a guy who feeds his ego by having an obsession with Arsenal.

Irrespective of his motives, and who he is, and what he's done before, do you agree with the points he makes?
It doesn't matter who makes the points, if they're valid. Discuss and counter the points if you believe them untrue rather than slating the character who made them.

We do not buy top players any more. There is no chance we buy Cavani or even Dzeko. Why do you think we will buy a top manager like Klopp or Guardiola ????
Even if we do a top manager needs an ambitious club to be motivated, he needs to compete for trophies. What makes you think Arsenal will be able to complete for trophies with its budget??? For the likes of Guardiola or Klopp to come to Arsenal means to ruin their careers. I think if Wenger goes the board will seek to save on his wages just like they do with players.

Agreed with most of what he said, excellent points. Doubt anyone could actually argue against any of his points as he simply brought up facts about our regression, unless anyone's deluded to argue that Arsenal aren't or haven't regressed in years gone by.

Why give this **** the attention he craves? Don't listen, and he'll soon disappear.

Anyone who thinks Wenger is "Happy" with how things are clearly don't watch his interviews or see him by the side of the pitch...

He is clearly incredibly frutrated with how things are. The way he reacted to losing Fabregas, Nasri etc... He was clearly very let down and deflated that the players he had put so much faith in would turn round and bail on him. The fact we where not in the title race etc...

If you really think the man who has brought us more success than any other manager, a guy who is repeatedly offered top managerial jobs but turns them down to stay with us, is happy not challenging then your very mistaken.

I realy don't know how anyone can actually follow Arsenal and then come out with this nonsense about how Wenger has no Ambition and how happy he is that the club have regressed over the last couple of seasons.... It's complete bollocks....

Just because he is very open and honest about how important CL qualification is, does not mean he has no ambition or that he is happy with 4th spot. For god sake how is it possible that people do not understand this. I feel like i'm talking to a brick wall half the time on these forums..

You may be on to something but why would he say he's happy if he is'nt?

Basically what I'm saying is that someone is clearly bullshitting us, either it's Arsene or the board. (maybe both)

Things could be considerably worse but there is something extremely upsetting about the way our club is being run. We used to be a fine British institution striving for greatness and are now becoming a bland corporate machine. That's the truth.
